What You’ll Do (but is not limited to)

  • Be a strong customer advocate into engineering and a stakeholder in product roadmaps and execution priorities, strongly advocating on direction and focus. The executive responsibility of this office is pivotal for the company
  • Monitor key metrics relevant to the efficiency and efficacy of our sales delivery
  • Establish and oversee technical enablement for the Sales Engineering team
  • Direct management of the Regional Sales Engineering Managers
  • Oversee SE onboarding and enablement efforts
  • Coordinate closely with the post-sales Customer team to ensure smooth handovers of new clients
  • Coordinate closely with the Product and Engineering teams to ensure that the needs of the field are appropriately communicated back to those who can address them in the product

Your Qualifications 

  • SaaS sales experience in the B2B software sector, ideally in the computer security industry
  • MS/BS degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent preferred. Strong technical knowledge related to computer security, data science, analytics, distributed cloud computing
  • 10+ years’ experience managing presales organizations; experience managing 50+ technical professionals; demonstrable success managing first, second line managers, and senior technical specialists
  • Strong executive presence, ability to effectively interact with executives internal and external to Egnyte
  • Strong industry relationships at the CIO and CISO level
  • Strong followership at all levels of the organization (individual contributors, 1st and 2nd line managers)
  • Strong organizational, project management and time management skills. Proven leadership skills in the ability to recruit, mentor, coach and develop employees. Strong performance management and team building skills
  • A bridge-building communication style, with excellent written and verbal skills, to collaborate proactively with the many teams at Egnyte on which the success of the role depends
  • Experience using sales forecasting tools and driving good sales forecasting hygiene from sales engineers. Ability to inspect technical activity and to discover, report, and help address areas of technical risk
  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal. Must have the ability to deliver concise, logical, written documents and email communications, and to present cogent, well-thought arguments and summaries
  • Self-starter with experience working in a fast-paced growing enterprise, while demonstrating an entrepreneurial spirit
  • Industry Security Certifications are desirable
  • Experience working in a target driven environment, and the ability to work towards deadlines and in a fast-paced environment. Proven history of meeting or exceeding sales targets
  • Strong ambition and an appreciation for “reach” objectives, where the goal is to make a maximum impact with minimum resources
