Job Overview

The Tele-Sales Manager is responsible for providing a sales quality framework for all Rhythm sales channels.  Creating and delivering consistent support, primarily through the observations of external Third-party Vendors and partnering with internal Operations ensuring compliance with all Legal and Regulatory requirements.  The Tele-Sales Manager ensures business productivity, and customer satisfaction is delivered across all channels. This sales leader will be responsible for the development and management the Tele Sales channels that will be responsible for identifying, developing, and selling electricity products and services to residential customers.

Other responsibilities include:

  • Develop & execute sales channel strategy and tactical plan to drive residential sales growth.
  • Manage day to day sales execution for internal and external sales channels including acquisition, retention, and win-back sales campaigns.
  • Build new sales channels and capabilities to drive broader sales coverage while driving transactional efficiencies that deliver results.
  • Identify, develop, and manage third party sales channels vendors.
  • Collaborate with internal partners to develop & launch sales campaigns, new product & service offerings, operational capabilities, and sales support.
  • Review and manage sales channel pipeline opportunities and work with sales teams to maximize opportunity set.
  • Drive sales effectiveness and efficiency of internal/external sales channels through routine training, coaching, and mentoring.
  • Build a strong sales culture that balances business execution & results with customer centricity and compliance.
  • Hire, train, develop, motivate, and manage sales personnel and third-party sales channel vendors.
  • Administer employee reviews and provide periodic feedback on employee performance.
  • Review and approve business development manager expense reports.
  • Develop & manage sales forecast, quotas, and budgets.

Work Experience:

A minimum of 7 years of experience in building and leading high performing sales teams in the retail energy or similar industry.

Demonstrated successful track record selling to B2C selling retail energy, energy efficiency, load response, solar/storage, or other energy related products & services.

Developing effective training and coaching sales curriculum for prospecting, negotiating, and closing techniques as demonstrated through prior sales management experience.

The ideal candidate can build and convey compelling sales strategies, tactics, and value propositions for prospective customers.

Understanding of the competitive landscape and developing effective strategies and tactics for selling against competitive retail offerings.

Competitive retail energy experience including a good understanding of retail pricing/product structures, ISO’s, operational requirements, and legal/regulatory compliance as it related to sales and marketing requirements.

Self-starter with demonstrated ability to think strategically and analytically about the business, sales, marketing, products, and technical challenges.

Excellent organization and time management skills with the ability to multi-task and shift priorities as needed.

Excellent communication skills to effectively engage and collaborate with all internal/external stakeholders and business roles.  Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret the data, identify the problem and develop solutions that drive improvement, business efficiencies, profitability, or business compliance. • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite with working knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint, and Word. •

All candidates must have the ability to travel as necessary within given territory/market.

Collaborate with leadership to develop and execute strategic plans to meet monthly and yearly goal.  Ideal candidate has a passion for selling and leading sales teams.

Required Qualifications:

High School Grad / GED • Bachelor's or Equivalent Experience preferred• Management Experience:7+ years
