Your Role and Responsibilities

This is a hunter sales role focused on Cloud and Cognitive software and Cloud Platform. This individual is a seasoned competitive seller and subject matter expert capable of driving complex Cloud Platform, Software, SaaS, and ESA deals. Candidate should be comfortable with C suite executives, and leading IBMers through collaborative influence and sales leadership.

The role will lead the development of the overall account plans with primary responsibility for identifying and prioritizing opportunities and developing cloud solutions involving multiple brands and elements. The role involves opportunity identification, working with the extended IBM team to close transactional sales for all IBM brands (hardware, software, services) leveraging IBM's solutions, and leading the combined sales teams in efforts that drive revenue and maintain high client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate high level of business acumen and apply a thorough understanding of the client's culture, business, organization, strategy and financial position
  • Develop and execute client relationship plan
  • Lead cross brand IBM Team to achieve/exceed assigned revenue and other measurement objectives
  • Collaborate across IBM Business Units, leveraging other subject matter experts as needed to deliver maximum client value
  • Build relationships with senior client executives, earning a reputation as one of the client's trusted advisers
  • Understand IBM business and brand strategies and how these translate into solutions which address client needs
  • Facilitate helping the brand team get transactional business done

If you are hired into a Colorado work location, the anticipated compensation range for the position 101,000.00 to 198,000.00 is based on a full-time schedule. Your ultimate compensation may vary depending on your job-related skills and experience. For part-time roles, the compensation will be adjusted properly.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • 3 - 5 years of competitive sales experience
  • Skilled in consultative selling, and proven complex deal negotiation skills
  • Experience in selling cloud solutions in large enterprise clients.
  • Experience in selling software solutions in large enterprise clients.
  • Excellent communication skills, verbal and written
  • Good grasp of technology and contract terms


Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Experience with IBM's suite of products
