Job Description

About the opportunity

The Technical Sales Consultant educates prospects and customers, conduct demos, evaluates technical and business solutions, and is a trusted advisor to prospects who are looking to evaluate fit. Common activities include, but not limited to, explaining and showing demo notebooks, advising the best path for evaluation and explain how our software can solve prospect’s business use cases. The successful candidate will be a strongly self-motivated and driven individual who is goal-oriented, methodical and tenacious, and can effectively interact with a team. Technical expertise and credibility in natural language processing, deep learning, and APIs is also required. 

The Technical Sales Consultant will take ownership of distributed Sales Qualified Leads (SQL) and apply the Xplor sales methodology to help turn prospects into successful customers. You’ll leverage your technical acumen to connect with technical decision makers and work alongside the account managers to identify buyer pain points and challenges and convert them into customers. 

This independent Technical Sales Consultant position has advancement potential within the Sales organisation, as well as financial growth opportunities. 

As an Xplor Technical Sales Consultant, you will: 

  • Conduct web-based demos and teleconferences. 
  • Practice Active Listening to identify buyer needs and wants. 
  • Stay up-to-date with our technology and products / services. 
  • Make outbound phone calls to advance the buyer journey. 
  • Maintain contact history in the CRM and schedule follow up activities. 
  • Manage you workflow queue in the CRM 
  • Collaborate with the product and engineering teams to provide solutions for our customers. 
  • Manage technical discussions with our customers and support the account managers to progress deals manage client relationships.

  • Experience with software sales. You can grasp and succeed in a technology environment.
