Position Overview
This position will report to the Presales Director for the Automotive & Transportation, Heavy Equipment & Industrial Machinery, and Energy sales verticals with a focus on managing and growing our PreSales Account Development team. This person is responsible for working both internal and external to the business unit ensuring industry alignment and direction. This role is also expected to be a customer focused Manager with significant direct engagement in opportunity pursuits.
Responsibilities
• Coach and lead Industry Account Development Specialists propelling them to produce and perform to Siemens needs for selling PLM Software.
• Lead the team through thought leadership on customer business needs and processes, and how our solutions improve customer's business operationally and financially with a heavy focus on Vision and Value.
• Set common direction for business unit level Account Development execution of Digital Threads, alignment of customer process, and articulating value.
• Lead customer Prescriptive Selling workshops either directly or via team leveraging SolutionLink and associated process alignment tools to drive sales engagements.
• Assist in helping to define best practices for leveraging eXplore and Siemens Experience Centers.
• Responsible for employee development and career planning
Level of Supervision: Works under general supervision, Flexibility for rapid priority changes, Latitude for independent judgment, Assists/mentors less-experienced peers.
Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Computer Science, Business
Minimum 8 years of Management experience
Must currently reside in the greater Detroit area
Minimum 12 years working in one of our Industries (Automotive & Transportation, Heavy Equipment & Machinery, Energy)
Experience with engineering and manufacturing processes
Experience having business conversations at the executive level

Preferred Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience:
Preferred Education, MBA or MS in related field
Preferred knowledge of Siemens software Solutions
