As SVP New Business Development, you will operate as part of an executive team towards developing and achieving short and long term strategic and financial plans by having a proven expertise and success in retail c-level business development with a strong network in FMCG Retail across North America.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE: 

  • Develop the 3-year NIQ Retail Analytics business development strategic plan and set the annual operating plan as part of the NIQ Retail executive team
  • Manage high performing sales teams throughout end-to-end process from market awareness through to prospecting/pipeline management and diligence through to contract.
  • Achieving sales strategic and financial objectives and deliver on annual revenue growth targets
  • Executive lead of the business development function and team and manage end-to-end C-level retail sales and diligence process
  • Developing strategies to win
  • Building meaningful client relationships with client stakeholders and teams
  • Representing voice of customer to internal product development, product marketing, communications and delivery teams 
  • Representing Nielsen externally, in thought leadership, as part of industry conferences and/or with the media 
  • Working collaboratively with other product sales leads & cross functional partners

Are you an excellent people leader with the ability to support, mentor and inspire creative solution selling? Can you effectively tell a story that captures the audience, no matter what level, and brings them along your journey? Are you able to work collaboratively, as part of a remote team within a dynamic and challenging environment while maintaining high standards? Do you have experience in working with complex client relationships and client issue resolution?

QUALIFICATIONS 

  • 15-20+ years of experience in a business development executive role within FMCG Retail/CPG
  • Experience in consultative selling approach at C-Suite/Executive level of retailers, ideally with experience in retail, merchandising/marketing, analytics/technology and/or software-as-a-service solutions
  • Mission-driven and passionate about serving a purpose 
  • Excellent awareness of market conditions and client business environment
  • Demonstrated record of creating and growing sales revenue year over year
  • Excellent sales pipeline management skills with a track record of predictability and consistency 
  • Sales team leadership
  • Strategic thinking/problem solving and solutions-orientation
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office software and Salesforce 
  • Familiarity with NielsenIQ tools, applications and platforms a plus
