As a Strategic Customer Success Manager, you will work as part of an account team responsible for driving product adoption, growth, value, and partnership with our largest enterprise customers.   You will also partner directly with the customer’s leadership team through polished communication and strong executive presence, allowing you to act as a trusted advisor and advocate while ensuring the overall health of the account.

Our Customer Success team is proactive, intuitive, and dynamic.  Informed and organized, our team loves working to ensure that the value flowing from relationships between Checkr and our customers is maximized for all parties.

Responsibilities:

  • Be a product and industry expert, and act as a trusted advisor and consultant to ensure your customer is leveraging the full value of Checkr
  • Develop, execute, and maintain strategic account plans and QBRs to drive business value and ROI
  • Illustrate business value by defining clear metrics and proof points for all customer engagements
  • Demonstrate thought leadership and be a valued internal resource across sales, marketing, product, and engineering
  • Utilize data to provide product and strategy recommendations. Communicate critical customer concerns and use understanding of vertical or product trends to provide recommendations 
  • Identify upsell & expansion opportunities 
  • Conduct strategic account planning to prioritize opportunities and customer goals
  • Be consultative and build in-depth relationships and a complete understanding of their business goals and objectives
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders (Engineering, Product, Sales, Support, and Execs) to complete customer goals, be the voice of the customer to provide visibility and/or escalations, and maintain strong referenceability across your book of customers


What you bring:

  • 6+ years of customer success/account management experience with a portfolio of large strategic relationships with deep technical/product needs
  • Background managing complex, global Enterprise accounts
  • Strong customer focus, you care about your customers and view their success as your own
  • Formal or informal project management expertise
  • Ability to navigate enterprise organizations’ political landscape to develop and expand relationships at all levels while driving large-scale, high-visibility, strategic initiatives for customers
  • Excellent in business, and written and verbal communication skills - able to simplify complex topics in a friendly and approachable manner for both executive and end-user audiences
  • You are flexible, learn quickly, and able to juggle and complete multiple priorities and projects (internally and externally) in a fast-paced environment
  • General knowledge of software applications i.e. Zendesk, Salesforce, Google Apps, etc.
  • Experience in SaaS space. Human Resources or Staffing space is a plus
  • BS/BA degree or equivalent required

The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors.  In accordance with Colorado law, the base salary for this role if filled within Colorado is $95,400 - $112,200.  This position is also eligible to participate in Checkr’s commission plan/bonus plan.
