Position Summary:The successful candidate will be responsible for growth and expansion of direct sales and profit margins within assigned accounts and/or territory/region on products or services. The candidate will establish professional relationships with key personnel in customer accounts and meets assigned targets for profitable sales volume and margin dollars. Further, the candidate will use learnings from previous strategic initiatives to build bridges with innovator / generic pharma and CROs and drive branding of the Win the Method initiative. This candidate will focus heavily on platform methods and drive relationship / decision making between innovator Pharma and CROs and bridge solutions between the two entities.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage vertical market funnel and conduct market and business analysis (trends, applications, customer profiling, competitive landscape, regulatory impact, etc) for existing and new business opportunities. Identify the key areas of growth and differentiation for the company and its products in all regions
  • Develop and implement GTM strategies and action plans that will generate sales growth in the pharm (innovator, generic and CRO) segments, growing market share and brand awareness as well as align with Global BDMs (EUR, APAC, IND etc).
  • Drive heavy focus within generic pharma market for drugs coming off patent where existing solutions can drive quick wins compared to the innovator "long-play."
  • Work in collaboration with regional sales representatives and management to identify new business opportunities and manage regional sales funnels.
  • Develop funnel of thought leaders relationships and incorporate into Thought Leadership program to support downstream pharma and contract research organizations (CROs).
  • Work in collaboration with the Global Pharma Market Development Manager to localize Marketing Communication plan, including customer- facing marketing collateral, consistent with GTM strategy for region, leveraging traditional and digital marketing communication platforms to increase uptake and drive lead generation.
  • Lead the delivery of sales training for pharm (innovator / generic) across North America.
  • Support Annual Conference/Event/Seminar planning within [Region] focused on lead generation and brand visibility at the solution level.
  • Develop opportunities for local workshops and execute with support from Global Pharma Market Development Manager and local sales
  • Responsible for managing sales funnel of pharm (innovator, generic and CRO) in MSCRM, delivering regular data reports and updates including key performance indicators such as sales performance, key actions and general results of activities.


Knowledge and Experience:

  • Hands-on HPLC experience for small molecule analysis preferred
  • 2-3 years hands-on experience working in a laboratory preferred
  • Bachelor's Degree in a life sciences field required. MS or PhD is a plus
  • Candidate must have experience building customer base, KOL in pharma centric region / city.
  • Pharma and biopharma industry knowledge is required
  • Analytical and critical thinking
  • Customer-focused with strong negotiation and presentation skills and the ability to present clearly to large groups (i.e.: seminars and trainings)
  • Results-oriented with a continuous improvement mentality
  • Valid driver's license
