Job DescriptionWHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:
As a Strategic Account Manager (m/f/d), you will join a fast paced, growing division working to digitize the logistics industry. You will develop and lead all targeted initiatives for DHL/DHL Express within Europe. You will be driving existing initiatives further and unlock new opportunities within this account, by leveraging our existing product portfolio. You will ensure a strategic collaboration with the customer as well as initiating development of future innovation opportunities around this account. This role requires the ability to collaborate with cross functional teams internally and externally on an international level.
Main Responsibilities:
Activate a long-term, strategic customer partnership with DHL/DHL Express in Europe.
Demonstrate a deep understanding of DHL´s needs and future objectives to proactively position solution sales
Establish a robust and broad network within the customer across different divisions and functions.
Collaborate with internal technical, operations, and product development personnel to assure alignment of sales strategy and future product offers within technical and operational capabilities.
Coordinate with different team members across Europe to drive consistency in sales approach towards this customer.
Lead customer analysis, conduct research and synthesize learnings to support recommendations that drive change to the sales model or in support of strategic transformation initiatives.
Liaise with and manage internal support functions (Marketing,Warehouse, Customer Service, IT Development) to ensure flawless execution of your sales process
WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO BRING TO THE TEAM:
Avery Dennison has a long history of being a market leader. Your history is important to us. It should include the following:
Bachelor's degree preferred
Experience of working for / or selling into DHL/ DHL Express or other large CEP players/companies preferred
Manufacturing, technology, RFID or software sales business experience preferred
Hunter Mentality - eager to unlock doors and drive new business
Strong account leadership skills, including roadmap planning and forecasting
Successful sales and negotiating experience
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships with individuals at all levels of assigned accounts
Ability to develop working relationships and influence across all areas of the organization (including sales, market development, operations, finance, marketing).
Fluency of German and English is required
