Strategic Account Director

The Strategic Account Director for HealthSparq is responsible for the sale of HealthSparq products and services within the defined territory. This role works closely with HealthSparq team to affect the sale of solutions within the defined territory. The Strategic Account Director works directly with various buying constituents including payers, employers, brokers, and provider health systems to consultatively sell portfolio solutions. The candidate will contribute to the overall success of the corporation by being a member of an effective sales team.
What you'll do:
- You’ll manage the sales process with prospective and current clients within your assigned territory. You’ll identify, qualify and close new accounts while building trusted relationships with existing customers to explore opportunities to extend the footprint of the HealthSparq platform.
- You’ll manage sales campaigns from qualification through deal closure, working with internal resources to facilitate a successful sale, and generating new leads for the sales pipeline. You’ll work cross-functionally with internal teams to develop sales campaigns.
- You’ll play an integral role in forecasting and reporting on the pipeline, target account identification and competitive intelligence.
- Your typical day will include executing on written sales campaigns with input from Marketing, tailored communications with prospects, meeting with prospects or clients for demos (working with internal Sales Engineering and external partners) and other sales conversations, coordinating with prospects or clients and internal teams to ensure smooth processing of contracting, and internal one-on-ones with your manager and other Sales and Marketing colleagues to unblock your campaigns.

What you'll bring:
- Sales expertise and demonstrated ability to delivery upon sales goals.
- Ability to sell both consultative and product functionality.
- Demonstrated in-depth knowledge of complex health plan operations and organizational structure.
- Demonstrated experience in consultative, enterprise-wide solution selling including ability to predict, build and present innovative and creative product offerings to health plan customers.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Ability to conduct clear and concise presentations for both senior executives and technology teams.
- Creative problem-solving capabilities and the ability to prioritize, self-motivate, and work independently.
- Ability to deal effectively with a variety of individuals and groups related to adding new lines of product and servicing existing accounts.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal employees and strategic partners.
- Ability to build and successfully drive a strategic business plan for a determined sales region or regions.
- Demonstrated ability to anticipate needs of health plan customers and to craft sales approach and product offerings to meet those needs.
- Excellent negotiation and consultation skills including ability to source and close complex, large scale sales.
- Demonstrated comfort in working with executive leadership in various health plan organizations.
- 10+ years of consulting/solution/software sales experience preferably in the payer/provider/employer healthcare technology industry.
