More than 50,000 businesses use Drift to align sales and marketing on a single platform to deliver a unified customer experience where people are free to have a conversation with a business at any time, on their terms. Our mission is to use conversations to make business buying frictionless, more enjoyable, and more human.

About the role / team:

Drift’s Sales Operations team is a key partner in the hypergrowth of our Sales organization. Our mission is to build a consistently high-achieving, understood, and predictable revenue engine.

The right candidate will bring sales operations experience from the B2B domain, deep experience with go-to-market execution and reporting. If you are a positive, curious and motivated person who likes a fast-paced environment, enjoys problem-solving, and has the urge to improve processes on an ongoing basis, you will enjoy being a member of the Drift Sales Operations team.

What you will be doing on the Sales Ops Team:

  • Managing our Sales Ops functions across the customer journey, with a focus on go-to-market execution for all of our different business units
  • Partnering with Sales leadership to run our various business units, forecasting and reporting against our goals, and identifying strategic insights to improve our business
  • Working directly with sales leaders to prioritize key projects, setting the roadmap for where we focus and where we don’t as a team
  • Building and executing our go-to-market motions, and shaping the Day-in-the-life of a Sales Rep at Drift
  • Architecting and instrumenting our sales tech stack to fit into a customer journey that puts the customer first
  • Producing routine and ad-hoc sales reporting and data deep dives for all of our key business units

In one month, you’ll:

  • Go through extensive company-wide training on Drift’s industry, offerings, and customers
  • Meet with Sales and Operations Leaders to understand current states of their businesses, and start to identify areas for improvement
  • Learn all key components of our Go-To-Market strategy, and our key funnel metrics
  • Begin to attend and participate in key Sales Operations routines

By month 3, you’ll:

  • Deepen relationships with your Sales Ops team members and Sales leaders
  • Participate and start to take an ownership role of key Sales Operations routines/cadences
  • Prioritize Sales Ops goals and set future priorities with Sales leadership
  • Start to take ownership of all Sales Execution within our go-to-market
  • Familiarize yourself with the Day-in-the-Life and tech stack of the Drift Sales rep
  • Identify gaps or inefficiencies in our customer journey – where are things falling through the cracks? Where can we reduce friction?

By month 6, you’ll:

  • Own key functions of our go-to-market strategy and sales tech stack
  • Translate any inefficiencies or gaps in our customer journey you have observed into actions to address them
  • Plan, execute, and measure specific Sales strategies and campaigns in conjunction with Sales leaders

About you and what type of skills you’ll need:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Sales Operations, Revenue Operations, or related functions in a B2B Technology Sales Organization
  • Successful team builder: experience managing a team, setting priorities, and performance management
  • B2B company experience: scaling an organization through significant growth
  • Experience in key sales tech stack systems like Salesforce, Outreach, Clari, CPQ, Gong, etc.
  • Proven experience with reporting and analysis tools (Excel/Sheets, SF Dashboards & Reporting, Looker/Tableau)
  • You are a self-starter with a voracious appetite to learn and grow
  • You are able to translate complex data into simple insights, and communicate them effectively
  • You are methodical in your routine and pride yourself in the accuracy of your work
  • You are curious -- you want to be the person who solves the problem
  • You are well spoken and your written and verbal communication is clear
  • You can adapt to rapidly-changing environments and work with cross-functional teams
  • You have a genuine interest in sales, sales methodology, and building the new way businesses buy from businesses

An Insider's view of Drift

How would you describe the company’s work-life balance?

Drift is a digital first environment, which means employees’ primary work experience is remote and Drifters can collaborate in “Conversation Spaces.” This allows us to focus on outcomes rather than time spent in the office. If we're hitting our goals, you are free to work hours that suit you, wherever suits you. It allows for the ultimate balance.

Kaitlyn

Marketing

How do you collaborate with other teams in the company?

I feel really lucky because I get to work with the Sales, Customer Success, Product, and Ops team on a regular basis. We say "One team, one dream" un-ironically and are always willing to hop into anything that benefits the customer.

Sara

Conversational Marketing Specialist

What makes someone successful on your team?

Our leadership principles are the core of who we are and how we operate every day. Bringing these in to your actions, decisions, and how you deliver results is the surest way to be successful here. Walk the talk. Focus on the customer. Deliver results every single day.

Brit

Director of Learning and Development

How do you make yourself accessible to the rest of the team?

Today, all of our lives run in real-time. As a result, our expectations for how we communicate with businesses have changed: we expect answers in real-time too. Customers have all of the power today, and that’s why we put a premium on how we’re treated. Businesses need to adapt to this shift in order to thrive today, and that’s what we focus on.

David

Executive Chairman, Co-Founder

What does your typical day look like?

While my days vary, it usually consists of connecting with customers to walk through their results and celebrate their wins, digging a bit deeper into what’s going on at their organization, and delivering recommendations on how they can achieve greater results. I also connect with Product to share what our customers are saying to help improve Drift

Chris

Customer Success Manager
