Sr Manager, Global Sales Operations

Position Summary:

The Sr Manager, Global Sales Operations will be responsible for developing, implementing, and performing functions related to sales strategy, enablement, and analytics for the Rapid Diagnostics Solutions (RDS) business unit. This includes working closely with leadership to optimize processes and tools to support sales growth targets, forecasting and improve commercial productivity. The incumbent will build and develop a motivated team to ensure operational functions support RDS sales to achieve sales objectives and delight our customers. This exciting career opportunity will develop models that inform other key, strategic business activities such as organizational structure sizing, territory alignment, product launch support, and commercial infrastructure. This leader must have an ability to deal with ambiguous situations and independence to drive projects through to completion while inspiring, developing and building a strong team of professionals who are innovative, inclusive and execution oriented, and experts in their subject matter. Because of the high level of responsibility and expectations associated with the position, experience is critical in the areas of commercial strategy, sales analytics, sales operations support, and technology enablement.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Responsibilities will include, but may not be limited to the following specific responsibilities:
  • Build, develop, and retain team that enables sales growth and best commercial practices
  • Leads the development, optimization, implementation and management of business processes and projects to enable the RDS sales team success
  • Integrate and ensure application of sales methodologies (eg. Miller Heiman, Sandler, Challenger) are integrated with sales team activities and translate to CRM and funnel management.
  • Develop, own, monitor forecasting accuracy and efficiency metrics to achieve sales goals as well as supporting the SIOP planning process.
  • Set cadence and lead funnel and sales performance reviews
  • Territory and segmentation mapping, target list development, driving execution, accountability
  • Consistently monitor and manage performance to leading indicators including sales forecasting, pipeline management, and commercial activity with SalesForce.com and Power BI.
  • Assists in the development and maintenance of the Commercial Data Environment with the proven ability to synthesize information and data from multiple sources.
  • Responsible for leading the Sales Incentive Plan (SIP) including modeling and calculations.
  • Develops standardized and ad-hoc field sales reports while pulling out key business insights for commercial leadership
  • Proactive talent management, understanding what good performance looks like incremental to budgetary performance; experience designing commercial structures to maximize investment and growth.
  • Develops and implements pricing and contracting process along performance metrics

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:
  • Minimum required education: Bachelor degree or Associate degree with 2 years of experience or high school diploma/GED with 4 years of relevant experience
  • 8+ years of previous sales operations and sales force effectiveness experience with a proven track record of success
  • Sales operations experience to include (i.e.: Operations, Incentive Compensation, Market Planning etc., Data visualization, CRM (Salesforce.com)
  • Ability to be able to transition between the 'big picture' and understand the details of what needs to be done to accomplish a project
  • Displays strong business acumen, integrity, collaboration, adaptability, sound judgment/decision making, and an entrepreneurial, solutions-oriented attitude
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate clearly, succinctly and with senior leadership
  • Instils trust with stakeholders through proven database experience and ability to integrate complex data sets.
  • Success with visualization tools such as Tableau, and graphing in Excel and PowerPoint
  • Demonstrates responsiveness, attention to detail, and follow-through coupled with ability to prioritize/multi-task effectively
  • Action oriented, responsive problem solver
  • Ability to thrive in a fast paced and dynamic environment
  • Ability to manage cross-functional teams & influence without authority
  • Process driven, experience with predictive KPIs, sales cycle management, samples, quoting, discounts and sales forecasting
  • Experience in sales strategies, selling effectiveness, analytical and problem-solving skills, communications skills, client relationship management skills, industry/market analysis skills, and business planning skills
