Come join the Seismic Deal Strategy and Operations team and take a advisory role in proposing viable deal structures for our customers while addressing the needs of internal corporate stakeholders, maximizing revenue, and helping increase the productivity of our sales teams. Work closely with Sales, Customer Success, Sales Operations, Revenue Accounting, Legal, Pricing Strategy, Product Management, and Licensing & Use Verification.

This role will collaborate with the field sales organization and others to close complex, non-standard revenue deals in accordance with company policies and guidelines. This position will support Pacific and Central Time Zones.

What you'll be doing:

  • Closely partner with Field Sales and Customer Success to advise on key deals with an emphasis on structuring smart, balanced customer orders.
  • Proactively identify and drive initiatives to remedy order structuring process gaps and improve Deal Desk efficiency.
  • Work as a liaison between multiple functional groups to help facilitate deal closure.
  • Advise to ensure that resolution of customer satisfaction issues align with customer needs, and company business strategies and policies.
  • Ensure contract pricing is set at amounts to drive discipline and consistency.
  • Provide appropriate training and mentoring to advance personnel and organizational development.
  • Assist on projects such as CPQ enhancements, CLM implementation, and others that foster continual improvement.
  • Problem-solve for complex customer orders and renewals.
  • Take ownership of special projects supporting the team’s Objectives and Key Results (“OKR’s”).
  • Ensuring the integrity of ARR bookings and contractual details.
  • Develop and refine processes and procedures.
  • Key contributor to integration of mergers and acquisitions.

What you'll bring to the team:

  • 8+ years of experience in a deal desk, Pricing, finance, contracts, or revenue accounting role.
  • Technology, Software-as-a-Service (“SaaS”), knowledge and experience required.
  • CRM, CPQ, CLM, and Billings System experience is required. Salesforce, NetSuite, and Business Intelligence tool experience is preferred. 
  • BS, MBA in Finance, Economics, or related and relevant areas.
  • The ability to apply revenue recognition accounting principles to draft and review contract language.
  • A thorough understanding of the sales process and the ability to navigate long, complex sales cycles.
  • Strong business acumen with excellent communication skills – verbal and written.
  • The ability to read, interpret, and draft business terms and conditions.
  • Strong logic and analytical abilities.
  • Proven ability to lead and manage people to accomplish a common goal.
  • Adeptness at business partnering and working with cross functional teams, building meaningful business relationships along the way.
  • Self-motivation, ability to work under pressure, dependability with deliverables and deadlines, and ability to multi-task.S
