Sr. Manager, Deal Desk
About the Role
We are looking to add a key member to our Deal Desk operations team within the finance dept. We’re looking for a hard-working, detail-oriented, problem solver who will lead the Global Deal Desk Team and own the “Ready for Closed Won” process.
You will be responsible for overseeing the results produced by your team, monitoring work quality, and coaching performance. You will make recommendations on process and systems improvements, and drive those initiatives toward completion.
What You’ll Do
Own the “ready for closed won” process, which includes reviewing orders for products and services as against quotes, information in SFDC and against terms and conditions in customer and/or reseller agreements in order to book orders accurately, quickly and in accordance with CrowdStrike revenue policies.
Partner with central functions (Finance, Legal, Accounting, Customer Support) to proactively eliminate any delays at Order Booking (Deal Terms, Customer details) and communicate with the Sales team.
Identify, lead and deliver projects aiming at improving internal processes, data integrity, and quote accuracy in both SFDC and CPQ.
Mentoring, coaching, and contributing to the development of the Deal Desk team on standard policies, procedures and best practices while promoting professional growth.
Developing and utilizing operational Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to gather insights, track performance and drive accountability.
Optimize quoting and booking processes for all product offerings through direct, reseller, and Cloud Marketplace channels.
Communicating clearly to drive expectations and instill consistency amongst the team.
Making decisions in Deal Desk staffing and hiring decisions.
Salesforce CPQ super user who understands the logic behind the tool to be able to quickly diagnose and troubleshoot common errors.
What You’ll Need
5+ years of experience in a deal desk, finance, or revenue accounting role, preferably with SaaS experience
BS, MBA in Finance, Economics, or related and relevant areas
A thorough understanding of the sales process
Strong business acumen with excellent communication skills – verbal and written
Proven ability to lead and manage people to accomplish a common goal
Self-motivation, ability to work under pressure, dependability with deliverables and deadlines, and ability to multi-task
Flexibility to work extended hours during peak periods
