Senior Director of Sales Enablement - Job Description

The director's role is to create and execute impactful, data-driven solutions to maximize sales efficiency and effectiveness. A successful Senior Director of Sales Enablement is self-motivated and collaborative in order to support the team's efforts. The director will be expected to be supportive of the company culture and uphold our company values, by setting an example for their team members and our company as a whole. They will set the tone of the floor and teams with their actions and push to drive results to help the company and its team members reach their overall goals.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Determine sales enablement priorities by partnering with multiple teams to understand priorities, critical issues, skills gaps, opportunities, and objectives for success to develop enablement strategies.
  • Develop and deliver metrics-focused programs for ongoing development.
  • Measure, monitor, and communicate the impact of enablement against specific business-critical metrics.
  • Ensure the CRM system provides effective sales funnel and analytics management for sales pipeline
  • Drive research initiatives on relevant industry topics to meet business needs by staying abreast of marketplace issues and trends.
  • Manage the front-to-end Request for Proposal process, to include opportunity qualification, proposal planning and scoping, RFP creation, and all requests for clarification and post-submission follow up.
  • Assist sales in identifying information needed to develop winning proposals and competitive price quotations (may require occasional discussion directly with the prospect).
  • Work with sales leadership team to develop, execute, optimize, and assess enablement program.
  • Support sales through creating and delivering sales competitive analysis, and research
  • Build a trusted relationship with customer-facing staff, including business development, scientific affairs, and account executive teams.
  • Serve as a liaison between sales, commercial operations, and marketing teams.
  • Facilitate internal content creation with marketing teams for use with sales teams.
  • Develop and manage educational content for ongoing training.
  • Gather and relay feedback to continuously reiterate the enablement strategy.
  • Use performance data to identify knowledge or skill gaps across the sales teams.
  • Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to build internal relationships
  • Analyze performance trends, identify developmental needs and provide coaching techniques and recommendations to improve sales performance.
  • Determine learning needs to develop a sales playbook, onboarding and ongoing development program, and other sales tools to ensure training effectiveness.
  • Hold team accountable to executing consistent and innovative processes that contribute to an industry-leading team in a high-performance culture.

Job Qualifications:

  • Must be a current manager or have 5+ years of experience in a sales enablement, sales training, or learning and development role
  • Must have a Bachelor's degree or years of proven success in the industry
  • Experience using RFP response management
  • Must utilize analytics and data to drive decision making
  • Proven experience mentoring, coaching, and providing feedback
  • Be an example for our people by demonstrating Medical Solutions' core values in everything you do
  • Must have a passion for training and working with our Training and Sales Management teams to help grow individuals and our company overall
  • Consistently displays a positive attitude and sets a regular example for our core values
  • Proactively promotes our company culture
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, action-oriented environment
  • Good analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent presentation and delivery skills with the ability to represent complex concepts
  • Strong understanding of the sales environment, including sales content, tools, and training
  • Deep knowledge of the buyer's journey
  • Exceptional communication skills
  • Technologically savvy with mastery of CRM systems
