Job Description

This position will report to the Sr. Director of Cloud Sales Acceleration and Transformation for WW Cloud strategies and be a manager role over the Acceleration and Readiness teams driving transformation across our multi-cloud solutions. The role will span across all customer segments and will work in partnership with regional sales, business units, and other functional organizations.

This position is critical in leading VMware SaaS transformation with cross functionally aligned strategies and sales motions that improve ease of doing business, scale programmatically, and accelerate multi cloud growth

This Sr. Director level role is strategic within VMware - one which will develop over time, based on the current/future needs of the evolving multi-cloud business model. The ideal candidate possesses a unique blend of business insight, sales leadership, sales operations experience, VMware Solutions knowledge, big-picture thinking, influencing skills and ability to collaborate with many constituents within VMware.

Responsibilities:

  • Define, drive, and align a unified execution plan with BUs and cross-functional stakeholders to drive alignment to our GTM strategy across multiple cloud businesses
  • Drive transformational strategy development and execution critical for sales and cross-functional teams
  • Develop a communications/feedback process between Cloud sales business units and supporting functions to enhance customer and employee experience
  • Implement a collaboration and planning framework to build and execute strategic plans
  • Drive consistent and globally aligned processes to provide customer-value throughout the entire customer lifecycle
  • Accelerate sales performance through flawless execution while continuously improving productivity through data-driven governance models & unified frameworks
  • Manage the field strategy and readiness team responsible for developing and executing strategic programs and readiness strategy across global cloud sales, core sales, strategic pursuits, and hyperscaler ecosystem



Qualifications:

  • Strong experience in a field sales strategy and communications roles
  • SaaS/Cloud experience with an understanding of both front office and back office components required for SaaS/Subscription transformation
  • Ability to consultatively assess and address pain points in our internal processes to unblock friction points for our sales teams
  • Experience building and leading high-performance teams
  • Experience partnering with HR and business leaders to implement foundational components for organizational health through business transformation
  • Experience planning and running executive planning and interlock sessions/evens and leading teams to manage the resulting body of work
  • Strong influencing skills and ability to work effectively cross-functionally at executive levels
  • Execution & results-oriented
  • Strong strategic, business, and consultative acumen
  • Ability to balance the demands of supporting a global team in multiple time zones and engaging appropriately across all levels of the organization
