The Software Sales Engineer will provide support to DMSI's sales team and prospects using our ERP Software. You will be responsible for demonstrating Agility and its solutions to fit prospects needs and assist the sales team with technical advice and solutions to prospects requirements. The Sales Engineer will also stay current on market trends, ERP competitor solutions, and industry-specific solutions.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

  • Explain and demonstrate the features and benefits of Agility to prospects.
  • Demonstrate how software meets the prospect's needs.
  • Demonstrate how Agility differentiates from those of competitors.
  • Serve as a technical liaison between the prospect and DMSi.
  • Identify market needs for our products and communicate with Product Marketing and Product Development.
  • Make engineering jargon like program specs and technical requirements easily understood.
  • Answer technical questions and provide advice.
  • Continuously keep the sales team updated and trained on new updates to Agility.
  • Respond to functional and technical elements of written RFI's/RFP's.
  • Provide support to the sales team through data setup and demo support.

  • KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

    2+ years relevant experience in software support, pre-sales, and/or sales
    Self-motivated with a proven track record in software sales and knowledge of technology
    Experience and familiarity with the manufacturing process
    Must possess strong presentation and communication skills, including web-based session
    Able to communicate professionally in written responses to emails, RFP's, and prospect
    Well organized and analytical with the ability to eliminate sales obstacles through creative and adaptive approaches.
    Ability to travel as needed.
    Good analytical, logic, research, and problem-solving skills
    Ability to positively interact with all levels of the company and with others outside the company

    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

    Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, MIS, other related fields or equivalent work experience
