Smart Financing is an APC digital finance tool which transitioned and expanded from our previous heat pump financing. Current sales efforts target service providers to utilize our app for customers' energy efficient home projects. Any approved homeowner in the state of Alabama can utilize the benefits of Smart Financing. Approved products for Smart financing include, but are not limited to, heat pumps, weatherization, roofing, electrical work, and stand-alone generators. Smart Financing has 966 registered allies. A Dealer Management Team is needed to drive sales, manage existing allies, grow, and train new service providers, and ensure the proper use of the digital finance tool.
Job Summary:
A Smart Financing Sales Representative is responsible for the management and compliance of existing dealers and the growth and training of new service providers. New service providers will need to be identified, targeted, sold, and trained on the finance tool based on having no previous relationship with Alabama Power. The Sales Reps will work closely with the Credit Team and other internal partners on the overall management of the Smart Financing portfolio.
Sales Representatives will sell the benefits of Smart Financing over other recognizable, competitive lending institutions. Sales Representatives are key to managing the healthy growth of the portfolio and achieving net income goals. Sales goals will be assigned on number of new onboards, number of training sessions, compliance, account management, and growth/depth of usage of the app from existing allies.
Major responsibilities:
- Finding, educating, and registering NEW service providers, gathering pertinent onboarding paperwork, ensuring accuracy for onboarding
- Converting leads from www.getsmartfinancing.com website and other mediums
- Host regular training sessions in assigned coverage area on proper processing of a finance application with emphasis of the service providers' code of conduct/compliance
- Account Management: Managing existing accounts in coverage area and generating more usage/penetration per account; selling the use of Smart Financing as their preferred finance option.
- Maintaining internal relationships and being accountable for reporting.

- Bachelor's degree preferred
Experience
- Experienced at "cold calling" - filling out weekly call sheets
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- 100 % Self- starter who is organized documenting/tracking accounts and sales activities.
- Successful candidate must be highly motivated and work self-sufficiently
- Proven history of managing a sales territory, achieving sales goals and finding new business; developing new business strategies
