SHOULD YOU ACCEPT THIS CHALLENGE… 

Pure Storage is seeking an established SLED Sales Leader - This role will be responsible for developing and executing Pure's go-to-market strategy and driving revenue across all SLED go-to-market teams (Regional alignment).  

What You Will Be Doing

  • Lead and inspire a team of Managers across several SLED sales teams, and ensure that the Pure Culture and Values are embedded into your teams.
  • Develop and execute strategic plans to gain market share and win new opportunities 
  • Provide leadership to the extended Pure Storage SLED sales teams (SEs, Channel Managers, Marketing, Alliances, etc.).
  • Closely manage and enable the team’s performance related to KPIs including pipeline growth, partner team alignment, forecast accuracy, POC management. At all times maintain a 4X pipeline to goal.
  • Recruit, develop and maintain strong relationships with channel partner and integrator principals and leadership teams.
  • Drive sales call activity and lead by example. Ensure that each member of the team attains or over-achieves quota.
  • Significant field travel expected.
  • Deliver business results which include annual bookings goal, new logo production and AE participation at or above goal.
  • Weekly review of sales activities, forecasting and pipeline review.
  • Coaching and Performance management of team.

What You Bring To The Team

  • 10+ years successful SLED field sales management experience and 10+ years successful field sales experience in storage or core Information Technology infrastructure in the SLED environment.
  • Experience in building and leading high performing sales teams focused on State and local government accounts along with K-12 and Higher Ed
  • Passionate and persuasive.  Must have strong written and verbal communication skills and be able to clearly and effectively articulate Pure Storage’s value.
  • Proven track record of recruitment and associate development.
  • Must be organized, detail and process oriented.
  • Creativity in developing go to market strategies, sales campaigns and sales plays relevant to the SLED space.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and use good judgment in identifying root causality and problem solving.
  • Ability to coordinate Pure Storage resources to execute a complex sales strategy, account and opportunity plans..
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills required.
  • BA/BS required.
