As an SEO Account Manager, you will create measurable value for your clients by providing SEO campaign consulting and strategic planning for diverse SEO and digital marketing needs. You’ll practice an agile framework in this role, which means each month’s focus could pivot depending on what you and the client have prioritized. This isn’t a position where you throw the same items over the fence. Instead, you will become an integral part of your clients’ team, providing high-level SEO expertise, with a focus on tracking, sharing data and results.

 

To succeed as an SEO Account Manager, you’ll need to be a self-starter who demonstrates curiosity, passion, and accountability—curiosity to keep learning and leveling yourself up; passion to be a committed and reliable account manager for your clients; and accountability to track, share data, and deliver results consistently.


Responsibilities:

  • Execute all components of a strong SEO campaign for your clients, from technical to on-page to link building
  • Adapt to frequent algorithmic changes and identify strategic opportunities for clients
  • Focus on building strong, lasting partnerships with clients 
  • Deliver results by gaining an in-depth understanding of your clients’ needs, business goals, and challenges
  • Be proactive, strategic, and creative as well as willing to test new ideas out
  • Stay on top of the latest industry trends

Experience:

  • 3+ years of account management experience
  • 2+ years SEO experience
  • Exceptional persuasive writing ability
  • A confident speaker, with clear and concise written communication skills
  • Proficient in tools like Google Search Console, Google Analytics, SEMrush, and Ahrefs
  • You have a strong affinity for internet culture, spend time contributing and sharing online, and may even have dabbled in WordPress, HTML, web design, or coding
  • You’re comfortable with changing roles, blistering speed, and figuring it out as you go along
  • Must exhibit self-discipline and be comfortable structuring your own tasks and time
  • Virtually extroverted: it’s OK if you’re shy at parties, but on the internet you’re not afraid to speak up, always remembering that there’s a real person on the other side of your monitor
