Role and Responsibilities:

The SASE Sales Specialist for the SASE Center of Excellence is responsible for a coordinated sales strategy with VMware's internal and external sales team. The mission of this group is to disrupt the current SASE Market and drive the adoption of VMware's SASE framework (which includes SDWAN) within a set of accounts in a specific geographic area. The role will also involve interacting with the Service Edge Business Unit to drive product development priorities, marketing initiatives and collateral, new routes to market, and strategic partnerships.
• Drive sales strategy and focus on top accounts and establish sales cadence with the corporate account team (beehive)
• Adopt the account portfolio sales strategy using channel partners or service providers
• Move the transactions through the entire sales cycle
• Solidify existing customer accounts and elevate VMware to a more strategic position
• Map the VMware's SASE components to the customer's business needs, challenges, and technical requirements

Required Background and Skills:
• 5+ years of above quota sales experience in the SDWAN and/or Security Industry
• Prior experience selling SDWAN and/or network infrastructure based security appliances including ( firewalls, SSL/IPSec VPNs, security proxies)
• Practical knowledge of routing and switching products
• Experience selling to Commercial, Enterprise, or Public Sector accounts
• Experience selling or working in an overlay or product sales specialist capacity as well as both a direct and an indirect or channel driven model
• Experience directing a team of professionals in sales campaigns that include sales executives, field SE's, Inside Sales, Field Marketing, Services, etc.
• Consistent track record of success selling in a competitive environment
• Self-motivated to achieve sales goals
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Demonstrated Leadership abilities

Preferred Skills:

We look for individuals who embody our values of humility, compassion, teamwork above isolationism, respectfulness, integrity, and good-natured fun.
• Experience with new product introductions
• BA/BS degree or higher

Travel:
• Estimated travel of between 15% and 20% depending on the density and size of the territory.
