JOB DESCRIPTION:

Abbott Rapid Diagnostics is part of Abbott's Diagnostics family of businesses, bringing together exceptional teams of experts and industry leading technologies to support diagnostic testing which provides important information for the treatment and management of diseases and other conditions.

The position of Workplace National Accounts Sales Manager is an experienced sales leader responsible for hiring, training, and managing the commercial sales team to drive new incremental growth in the National Accounts market as defined by senior leadership.

This job description will be reviewed periodically and is subject to change by management.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES - (KEY ACTIVITIES)

  • Develop and oversee commercial sales strategy for employers and channel partners.
  • Recruit and hire experienced sales professionals to expand market presence and visibility
  • Direct sales support, training, and prospecting of net new end users and channel partners in National Accounts market to include Fortune 1000 companies, background screening channel partners, national third party administrators, distribution and OEM partners.
  • Sales and commercial management of existing channel partner and TPA clients to support and develop incremental new and organic growth opportunities within base customer business.
  • Coordinate sales outreach activities and tradeshow participation in support of market visibility and continued revenue growth.
  • Meet or exceed the financial plan as established by the organization for new business.



DIMENSIONS

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's degree in relevant field, MBA preferred
  • 7 -10 years of Sales Leadership with minimum $50MM annual revenue plan
  • Experience leading National Account sales team in Employer, Healthcare or Diagnostics preferred



KNOWLEDGE:

  • Experience in Employer Drug Testing, Diagnostics, Medical Device or Healthcare industry preferred
  • Ability to negotiate large, complex contracts
  • Highly organized and self-motivated with ability to work independently
  • High level of business acumen
  • Strong presentation skills



SPAN OF CONTROL/COMPLEXITY

  • Ability to manage large team with complex National footprint
  • Must be willing to travel 50% plus nationally, with overnight travel included



LEADERSHIP/TALENT MANAGEMENT

  • Must be self-motivated
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills required
  • Proven track record in Sales preferred
  • Strong communication, verbal, and written skills a must
  • Experience in managing dynamic national sales team preferred
