The Red Hat Public Sector Sales team is looking for a manager to join us in Northern CA. In this role, you will provide guidance to a team of technical presales experts responsible for positioning Red Hat's solutions and services to end customers and partners. You'll collaborate with sales management as well as the Consulting, Engineering, and Support teams to meet company-outlined sales objectives. You will also assist your team in developing and delivering business-facing messaging on technical solutions for our existing and prospective customers. Successful applicants must reside in a state where Red Hat is registered to do business. This is a remote position that will cover much of the western U.S. (Ideal candidates will will be based in California.)
What you will do

• Oversee hiring and career development for a team of account solutions architects
• Collaborate with sales management on customer engagement strategies
• Provide and oversee presales technical support in sales presentations and demonstrations of offerings
• Work with marketing and product managers to provide feedback on Red Hat's solutions and technologies

What you will bring

• 10+ years of technical sales experience in the IT industry or a software vendor
• Experience working in a sales engineer or presales role at a director-level within the software industry in relation to cloud solutions
• Demonstrated success working in a technical presales role supporting senior sales leaders
• Record of developing relationships with developers, technicians, and business leaders within organizations
• Sales-minded with good commercial insight
• Superior written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent presentation skills
