Databricks is looking for a motivated Global Strategy and Operations Senior Manager to join our Go-to-Market (GTM) team, which creates pre-sales strategy, provides strategic analyses and instills operational rigor to our fast-growing Field Engineering (FE) business.

This position would be perfect for you if you have passion for driving essential business goals and experience turning data-driven insights into actions. You will help build and oversee a global FE strategy and operations team, and partner with the global FE leadership team to help guide their strategic planning and operationalize their business. Your team will help the FE team scale by driving executive reporting and health of business reviews, running quarterly and annual planning, and defining growth strategies for our pre-sales leaders. You will work with our FE, Customer Success, Finance, Data, Marketing, Sales Ops, and other GTM teams. You will report to the Director of FE Strategy and Ops.

The impact you will have:

  • Be a trusted partner to the FE Leadership by defining, tracking, and implementing goals, programs and strategies that scale
  • Guide annual GTM planning process (FY and long-range modeling, investment Return on Investment analysis, HC planning, capacity setting)
  • Establish the FE Strategy and build processes to ensure we have the right investments at the right time
  • Lead executive analyses and strategic planning (e.g. board materials, QBRs, account coverage)
  • Design and manage the headcount forecasting process (FY, long-range, and quarterly modeling)
  • Provide visibility and performance tracking to the business (Operational reviews, Field Engineer efficiency and productivity Indicators, dash boarding)
  • Improve operational efficiency by automating and improving processes, and building dashboards that scale

What we look for:

  • 10+ years of strategy & operations experience
  • Passion for and experience in successfully managing a high performance global team
  • 3+ years of analytics, EQ, troubleshooting, and project management skills
  • Propensity to summarize complex concepts and data and present clear information to executives, teams, and internal customers
  • Data analysis: Querying and scoping (SQL, Databricks, BigQuery), analysis (Excel), summarizing (pivot tables, charts, slides, written explanation), reporting (dashboards, repositories)
  • Process expert: Envision E2E process change to solve our needs, drive agreement, document requirements, guide execution in partnership with IT, perform UAT, and report on progress
  • Proficient in BI and sales tools (eg: Salesforce, Tableau, Redash)
  • Experience driving high level projects end-to-end
  • Ability to establish priorities across organizations at all levels

It would be great if you have:

  • MBA or experience in a company in: investment banking, strategy consulting, FP&A, business operations, Enterprise/Mid-Market SaaS experience
  • A fondness for sales/ pre-sales
  • Experience working in a high growth environment and navigating ambiguity
