ABOUT THE ROLE
In your role as Senior Director, Strategic Account Business Development and Management you will be responsible for executing Peloton’s B2B strategy through development of new strategic account opportunities while overseeing a portfolio of strategic accounts. You will have the opportunity to build and lead a team across a number of verticals such as hospitality, university, multi-family residential, sports, etc. You will be a highly analytical creative problem solver who is experienced in complex deal negotiation and executive relationship management - with a bias for action and experimentation. This role works closely with many functions across Peloton including product, marketing, finance, service, international, and strategy. Finally, you will ensure all stakeholders are aware of successes, opportunities, and risks, gathering their insight to inform deal structure and operational execution.
YOUR DAILY IMPACT AT PELOTON
- Set and communicate the vision, goals, tactics and KPIs for Peloton’s Strategic Account team.
- Devise strategies to capture and maximize the opportunity for Peloton for Business in new and existing verticals.
- Prospect, negotiate, contract, and manage the performance of strategic accounts - ensuring accurate forecasts and delivering against commitments.
- Work closely with legal team in managing end-to-end contract negotiation.
- Leverage market knowledge and customer insights obtained to enhance and refine the Peloton for Business strategy.
- Work collaboratively with teams across Peloton to ensure successful deal execution and implementation - leading with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
- Direct activities of individual key account managers and inspire them to a customer-centric approach that seeks mutually beneficial outcomes
- Travel as needed to pitch and close sales and partnership opportunities and to maintain strong key account relationships
- Drive sales pipeline tracking, accurate forecasting and reporting
- Facilitate effective communication within the team to create a positive, productive environment where everyone feels informed and empowered.
YOU BRING TO PELOTON
- 10+ years of experience building and managing high performing Business Development and Partner Management teams
- Personal passion and commitment to Peloton’s vision
- Experience in negotiating and implementing complex, high-stakes deals
- Strong relationship management skills and executive presence to engage C-level execs
- Ability to navigate a complex matrix environment to seek input, gain commitments, and ensure alignment on key deal terms - known as a team player
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills to drive decision making
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
- Impeccable integrity and ethical standards
- Ability to travel as needed and likely 25% and work as required to hit deadlines which may require some work on weekends or after normal business hours
The base salary range represents the low and high end of the anticipated salary range for this position based at our New York City headquarters. The actual base salary offered for this position will depend on numerous factors including individual performance, business objectives, and if the location for the job changes. Base Salary Range
$287,000—$373,100 USD
