Senior Director, Scale Managed Partner Sales Strategy

The Scale-managed Partner Sales team (SMPS) is focused on accelerating Microsoft's scale managed partners growth across all segments from Enterprise through the SMB segment. To drive this growth, Microsoft works in a scale able fashion with partners of all types and sizes to drive revenue, usage and share while ensuring these partners are deeply connected into sales motions and engines.
The Senior Director for Digital-first Strategy will lead the partner pillar in the cross-company initiative for evolution of our customer segmentation and alignment across partner segments and motions. This is a strategic, forward-looking position that will explore all aspects of the partner model - including alignment of programs, incentives and investment, compensation, field and corp role blueprint, revenue accountability, and resourcing - aligned to SMC.
The senior IC role, reporting to the GM, has three primary functions:
- Corp Strategy and Thought Leadership: Define and communicate our strategy while identifying trends and integrating those to achieve our growth and revenue objectives - aligned to customer segmentation.
- Pilot execution: Drive leadership and manage execution of the FY22/3 pilot efforts - aligning partner participation with SMC and cross-company.
- FY planning: Lead FY planning efforts for model evolution based on pilot results and strategic direction
You will play a key role in continuing to transform one of the world's largest partner ecosystems. You will be a leader in the team and directly engage with the senior leaders of the company.
- Work with experts and stakeholders across the organization (e.g., Product Teams, Sales, Finance, Corp Dev, Marketing, Biz Dev) as well as externally (e.g., Industry Analysts, Partners, Customers)

Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership
- Manages multiple strategy projects and teams across organizational boundaries driving through goals, deliverables, feedback, resource balancing, and timing expectations; proactively identifies complex roadblocks and address them.
Business Partner Relationships
- Manages key points of contact with internal teams (e.g., Finance, Marketing, GPS); manages and cultivates relationships with senior internal leaders. Acts as an advisor to senior leadership as a domain expert within Microsoft, leveraging deep business knowledge, market awareness, and subject matter expertise to inform strategic business decisions.
Qualifications:
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Liberal Arts, Computer Science, or related field AND 10+ years marketing, strategy, business planning, consulting, banking, finance, economics, and/or partner organization experience
- OR Master's Degree in Business Administration or related field AND 8+ years marketing, strategy, business planning, consulting, banking, finance, economics, and/or partner organization experience
- OR equivalent experience (e.g., scaling a business, incubation, driving change in a large company, entrepreneurship, management consulting).
