Job Summary

We are currently seeking a Business Development professional to help organize, drive and strengthen the Business Development function. The Associate/Senior Associate, Business Development will be responsible for helping to manage the major new business opportunities and deliverables across the company, working with internal teams to monitor, track and manage overall new business operations. The right candidate will be an agile, collaborative team player with the ability to work with teams across the company’s different functional areas.

Responsibilities

  • Function as an internal Business Development member for operationalizing large pitches/sales ops streams within the organization.

  • Help support a team with a strong track record of successful pitches and wins.

  • Manage a comprehensive tracking system in conjunction with CRM date to monitor Real Chemistry’s activity with clients and potential clients in order to capture and track business development efforts, insights and historical knowledge.

  • Collaborate with other members of the organization to create maintain assets, process toolkits and other materials, such as capability decks, case studies, and proposals that meet prospective client needs.

  • Help manage, track, organize the pitch teams and pitch/proposal development process related to new RFIs and RFPs.

  • Partner with internal teams (Account, Creative, Finance, and Editorial) to define project goals, scope, schedules and budget.

  • Maintain an accurate, up-to-date knowledge of all requirements and timelines across projects/accounts.

  • Provide updates and disseminate critical project information to the internal teams.

  • Assign and track routing of all project tasks.

  • Manage internal status and review meetings.

  • Recommend/review adjustments to scope and deliverables as necessary.

  • Conduct research on potential clients/industry trends as directed by senior staff.

  • Manage external vendors, including contracts, budgets and deliverables.

  • Ability to travel as necessary for client meetings and or industry events.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree

  • Minimum 1-3 years’ business development or account experience in a marketing/PR/communications agency/analytics, consulting or data companies.

  • Experience with client groups focused on public relations, digital media, product marketing, marketing communications or sales is strongly preferred; healthcare experience a plus.

  • Solid understanding of agency processes plus experience managing projects and deadlines across accounts.

  • Working proficiency in MS Office, including Word, PowerPoint and Excel.

  • Working knowledge of digital projects/processes, including websites, online advertising, social media, search engine optimization and mobile application development.

  • Ability to work in timely manner across projects/accounts and execute deliverables with a sense of urgency.

  • Ability to maintain professional manner. 

  • Possess a “can-do,” proactive and problem-solving attitude, a team player who’s agile and responsive.

  • Strong organizational skills and an ability to keep multiple internal stakeholders on task is critical.

  • Exceptional communication skills in order to effectively interface with all levels of the organization.
