This is a strategic role in client services that will primarily involve building client relationships with key stakeholders through consultative, value-added communication and strategy direction and working collaboratively with cross-functional teams to generate impactful results. Additionally, this role will manage a team(s) which will include career development, teaching and guidance, and training and coaching.

Candidates should be familiar with integrated marketing, both traditional and digital marketing and have well rounded knowledge of all marketing disciplines. He/she should be able to show a track record of successful outcomes with account management, performance and leadership.

In order to be successful in this role, we advise candidates to apply with 8-10+ years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver flawless client service by maintaining exceptional relationships with key decisions makers
  • Acquire in-depth knowledge of, and be conversant in, each clients' business, what their key issues are, competitive solutions and industry trends
  • Demonstrate confidence and authority as the day-to-day voice of the team
  • Effectively be able to balance the dual expectations of your client and the agency
  • Anticipating potential relationship or expectation issues and advising the Director of Client Services and the VP of Client Success
  • Support with setting client expectations, creating project plans, budgeting and forecasting, and overseeing quality and accuracy of deliverables
  • Drive value to clients through consulting delivery by building solid stakeholder/leader relationships and aligning them to achieve client goals
  • Help solve complex client management problems and other challenging issues
  • Identify gaps in account performance and make recommendations for improvement
  • Develop best-in-class marketing solutions for clients based on their goals and objectives
  • Work closely with Client Success department to ensure high levels of client satisfaction across all areas
  • Carry out hands-on strategic planning and collaborate with colleagues throughout the agency
  • Assists in quarterly strategic workshops for clients and recommend strategic direction for engagements
  • Assistance with research and proposals for new business development as necessary



Requirements

  • Staff and Project Leadership
    • Manage 1-2 junior level account management professionals and oversee each individual's growth and development
    • Actively coach your team to encourage and support healthy growth and development
    • Drive business development with the proper information (creation of SOW), tools and seek subject matter expertise cross functionally within our team to drive organic growth within your assigned accounts
    • Work closely with leadership team to help develop new processes to improve agency performance by focusing on performance improvement and utilization
    • Support recruiting & onboarding of new employees
    • Help advise and mentor other account team members
    • Work with research teams to direct qualitative and quantitative research as needed
    • Engage and consult leaders of cross-functional teams throughout the agency as needed
    • Work beyond departments and roles to develop business changing ideas and programs
    • Ability to coach, mentor and develop team in healthy and measurable way using real-world scenarios to guide development
    • Review weekly client status reports prior to distribution
    • Review any SOWs, addendum, project estimates, prior to client approval
    • Review monthly billing for accuracy and completeness with the Accounting team
    • Enter all time accurately on a monthly basis, and ensure that direct reports are doing the same
    • Work with the project management team to monitor scoped time versus actual time for all projects
  • Core Characteristics + Skills
    • Ability to "connect-the-dots" for both clients and internal teams in a clear and easy-to-understand manner
    • Strong analytical skills and business acumen are a must
    • Executive presence and confidence working with clients at senior VP, C-suite and/or executive steering committee levels
    • Excellent writing and grammatical skills; articulate when speaking and presenting
    • Persuasive storytelling ability
    • Ability to work both independently and in a cross-functional team environment
    • Make decisions that reflect "layers" of thought - balance enthusiasm, insight, caution and discretion, and be able to iterate on these when discussing with the client
    • Play a role in supporting key client deliverables and ensure that projects are completed on time and on budget
    • Owns assigned work and understands the correlation with project outcomes
    • Takes initiative to innovate and solve problems without direct supervision and/or direction
    • Works on several clients simultaneously, and must have the ability to constantly shift gears, solve problems, synthesize ideas, and listen to changing needs
    • Be able to adapt to workload and varying client environments while maintaining a positive attitude and professional demeanor
    • Provide effective and efficient oversight of agency resources to ensure projects are delivered as promised in terms of time, budget and results
    • Embraces thought-leadership by staying up-to-date on industry news, technology trends and best practices
