Job Description
As the Solution Architect, you will:

  • Partner with the Seller to lead complex, multi-solution sales opportunities for prospects and existing clients
  • Take lead in expanding and influencing opportunities
  • Participate in pre-RFI/RFP meetings with consultant and/or prospect to pre-qualify prospect and/or provide information
  • Be responsible for and effectively manager RFI/RFP, including:
    • Assisting with answering RFI/RFP and determine assignment of questions
    • Conducting final review of RFI/RFP and making appropriate changes
  • Understand the competitive market and business/technical landscape to solve business problems
  • Architect a solution within complex, multi-solutioned environments
  • Create architecture artifacts: solution overview, diagram, and detailed solution matrix
  • Assist in answering technical, integration, overall solution, and unique cross-product specific questions
  • Conduct discovery sessions and solution specific insight meetings
  • Assist with solving complex integration issues between disparate systems while identifying and reducing the threat of risks
  • Provide technical consultation and disseminate client/solution information to the sales team as needed
  • Present initial solution overview to internal and external clients, answers questions, and pursue follow up items as needed
  • Research required third party components to complete the service offering including support of selection processes to procure such components
  • Assists in creating prospect/consultant presentations with cross-functional and technical requirements
  • Participates in prospect/consultant presentations
  • Log estimate requests for development/integration/special conversion methodologies
  • Meets sales goals and objectives
  • Conduct meetings with development staff to solution client/prospect requirements
  • Conduct interim solution reviews with prospects, consultants, and internal as needed
  • Assist seller with establishing pricing proposal
  • Conduct turn-over solution review meeting with internal clients and participate in implementation meetings post contract signing and provide ongoing internal consultation as necessary
  • Assist in making recommendations on products to go to market
  • Work with product teams to stay abreast of and influence product roadmaps, enhancements, updates, etc.

  • Ability to effectively communicate, present and demonstrate solutions to all levels - both within FIS and to external prospects and clients. This includes translating complex problems into simplified solutions both written and verbally.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working trusted technology advisor relationships with prospective clients, clients, and key decision makers, as well as FIS employees at all levels and various representative areas.
  • Strong analytical skills to determine client and prospect business needs and requirements
  • Good understanding of specific FIS products and services
  • Ability to understand business requirements and convert them into solution designs
  • Must be detailed-oriented and possess strong leadership skills
  • General knowledge of financial and/or payment solutions technology including systems, applications, and banking practices
  • Excellent presentation, writing, organizational and project management skills
  • Expert communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Solid decision-making and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to remain calm under various levels of pressure
  • Ability to work well in an independent as well as team environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft tools, specifically PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Visio
  • Ability to travel is required
  • Other related duties assigned as needed
