Upwork is looking for a Sales Operations Director, Land to drive the Enterprise Sales organization’s customer acquisition teams’ growth and productivity improvements. You will work closely with our senior Sales leadership teams, Marketing and other cross-functional partners to provide the operational and analytical support to enable the teams to achieve their goals.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Build strong, consultative relationships with senior leaders in Enterprise Sales teams, becoming trusted advisor to Business Development and Account Executive organizations
  • Drive the territory design and management strategies to ensure the teams are aligned to the right opportunity 
  • Partner closely with Enterprise Marketing to build and execute programs to drive full funnel health from lead to deal
  • Lead capacity planning efforts as the teams look to expand in the future, both domestically and internationally
  • Translate strategic customer acquisition objectives into operational initiatives and build the roadmap to achieve the team’s goals
  • Proactively identify areas to set and refine sales strategies based on analytical efforts
  • Manage and develop a direct team as well as indirectly guide the efforts of cross-functional partners to execute against top operational priorities
  • Oversee Land reporting and analytics efforts, including target setting, standardized reporting across all levels of the organization and partnering with the Sales Analytics organization to create effective data visualizations

What it takes to catch our eye:

  • Proven track record of establishing strong relationships with senior leaders, particularly in Sales and Marketing organizations
  • Ability to influence senior leadership in order to institute new sales strategies
  • Deep expertise with sales strategy, methodologies, territory planning and design
  • Experience with large program administration, including experience working with distributed teams across a variety of functions
  • You are a strategic thinker comfortable working on complex problems with ability to understand the connectivity and impacts across cross-functional initiatives
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to work independently as well in a highly collaborative, team-based environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to navigate difficult conversations
  • Strong analytical acumen with ability to deep dive into data, extract insights and provide actionable recommendations back to the business
