Job Summary:

This role supports seamless execution of corporate priorities for the commercial organization with analytics and reporting. The Sales Operations Analyst works closely with international and sales leadership, commercial partners, and other centralized business support functions to drive sales productivity, sales reporting and analytics, sales forecasting, territory management, quota setting, performance tracking and other sales operations activities in support of the US and International sales organization. In addition, the Sales Operations Analyst will produce and deliver of ad-hoc, daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly sales reporting.

This position supports the sales organization and collaborates closely with commercial partners (i.e., sales, marketing, training, etc.) and as a liaison with various centralized business support functions (i.e. IT, HR, customer service, operations, compliance, etc.).

  • Provides management reporting and business analytics to guide strategic decisions and streamline execution.
  • Supports development, launch, and roll-out of new tools, resources and initiatives with the commercial organization (i.e., CRM, Tableau, sales compensation plans, business planning processes, sales process execution, etc.) to drive adoption and buy-in across the commercial organization.
  • Supports development of appropriate processes, structures, tools, and resources for the commercial organization to execute strategic priorities.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Timely delivery of daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly metric reports to monitor business trends, territory performance and rankings, sales process and pipeline metrics, and key corporate initiatives.
  • Create reports to provide new insights and assist sales and commercial leadership in managing the business and measuring progress of key initiatives.
  • Provide analytics to support key initiatives, including product launches, corporate programs, change management initiatives, etc. This may include segmentation and targeting analysis, compensation analysis, sales tools, tracking reports, business trend analysis, etc.
  • Assist with preparation of presentation materials for sales leadership, executives, board of directors, and other stakeholders (internal & external).
  • Support design and execution of optimal territory structure based on historical performance metrics, growth opportunity and needs in each territory.
  • Ensure data accuracy with proactive identification of problem areas, and by diagnosing and working with cross functional teams to fix to ensure data integrity and accurate metrics.
  • Compile and maintain accurate records of territory structure, resources, MBOs and other details required for accurate analytics, reporting and payments.
  • Coordinate with commercial leadership and IT to support ongoing enhancements to sales enablement tools (i.e., CRM, BI tools, content management system, etc.).
  • Partner with marketing and operations teams to create demand forecasts for production scheduling, with the objective of identifying and achieving inventory targets.


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required for Successful Job Performance:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Marketing or another quantitative field.
  • 2-4 years of relevant experience in Sales Operations, Finance or IT function.
  • MS Excel power user.
  • Experience with Customer Relationship Management System (CRM) such as Salesforce.com, MS Dynamics or other similar system.
  • Experience with Business Intelligence tools preferred (Tableau, Domo, Power BI, etc.).
  • Demonstrated ability to work in collaboration with multiple functional areas.
  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills combined with a strong business and technical acumen.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with all levels of the organization.
  • Detail oriented and reliable with strong organizational and prioritization skills.
  • Medical device industry experience preferred.
