An Insider's view of PagerDuty

How would you describe the company’s work-life balance?

The flexibility we have with our working hours is super important to me. I am a mom, so I want to be present for my daughter, and at the same time I want to be good at my work.

Suzan

People Ops Coordinator

How do you collaborate with other teams in the company?

At PagerDuty, we practice what we preach, from DevOps to Chaos Engineering. We do that while working in cross-functional groups, where everyone is supportive and inclusive. The people and how we work together are my highlights of working at PD.

Dileshni

Senior Engineering Director

How has your career grown since starting at the company?

I started as an intern and when I was offered a full time role it was a no brainer. I have grown so much since I’ve been here and there are countless growth and mentorship opportunities which my manager constantly advocates for me to take part in. Our culture where we “run together” was exactly what I was hoping for in my ideal workplace!

Jhanae

Software Engineer

How do your team's ideas influence the company's direction?

I am fortunate to work amongst colleagues that appreciate my skill set, respect my ideas and push me to think outside the box. I can always count on the insight of my team members and feel comfortable reaching out to other teams for assistance on projects. Our industry is a dynamic one in which successes depends on efficiency and solid teamwork.

Arthur

Data Engineer

What makes someone successful on your team?

Our hiring managers look for someone who leads with empathy. You can be fantastic at your job, with years of experience. But do you elevate those around you? Maybe you have the best idea in the room, but do you make space for other new and different ideas?
