About this Role:
With product traction both domestically and internationally, Atmosphere is continuing to build a team of experienced sales professionals in their Chicago-based office. As Atmosphere embarks on its next phase of growth, we are seeking a Sales Manager to help fuel our continued success. Our rapidly growing sales team is a high-powered account acquisition machine focused on SMB and Mid Market accounts. The ideal candidate will possess leadership, sales and a technical background that enables them to drive engagement and production across the team they will oversee, as well as teach, train and manage them on a scalable process. 

As a Sales Leader you will be managing and developing a team of Account Executives. You will be responsible for ongoing mentoring and development of the sales team. In this role you will report on sales activity and forecast to senior management. This business moves fast, so you will need to be comfortable in an early-stage startup where challenges appear daily. You will shift between sales initiatives, product sessions, marketing discussions, and operational improvement sessions. This position will report to the Regional Director of Platform Sales.

Responsibilities: 

  • Have an in-depth and detailed understanding of Atmosphere products to confidently provide mentorship for your sales team
  • Enable, develop and empower your team to proactively prospect, identify, qualify, and build sales pipeline
  • Coach the teams on best practices in navigating their ever growing pipelines and how to best close business 
  • Coach through data, KPIs and standard metrics to measure success and identify opportunities for improvement
  • Actively recruit Account Executives for our organization, according to Atmosphere’s hiring criteria
  • Help hire, onboard and ramp both new Account Executives and accelerate their productive capacity
  • Foster strong and effective relationships, resulting in growth opportunities
  • Run weekly forecast, KPI and metric meetings with sales leadership 
  • Run daily meetings with your team to help build and achieve sales plans

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree Preferred
  • Experience in high volume transactional sales
  • Experience in recruiting and managing a highly successful and talented direct sales team while driving them towards success
  • Proven ability to create high performing teams and lead them to success
  • 5+ years experience of quota-carrying experience with a focus on new business
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment
  • A track record of overachievement and hitting targets
  • Driven and competitive: Possess a strong desire to be successful
  • Skilled in managing time and resources; sound approach to qualifying opportunities
  • Possess aptitude to learn quickly and establish credibility
  • Have high EQ and self-awareness
  • Self-starter and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • High level of integrity and follow-through
  • Strong collaboration and relationship management skills
  • SFDC and Zendesk experience is a plus
