You will be working together with Splunk's direct sales team on the technical aspects of selling Splunk's products within our Commercial business sector. Our customers span all industries and sizes.

Responsibilities: I want to and can do that!

• Demonstration of Splunk products and services to customers in a number of venues including streaming, on-site meetings and trade shows.
• You're an excellent writer and communicator, an outstanding storyteller, and you love the craft of documentation. Your communication skills shine across platforms, whether proposals, articles, emails, presentations, webinars, or in person.
• Organized and analytical, you will be able to eliminate sales obstacles using creative and adaptive approaches.
• Important: We can teach you the technology, guide you on soft skills and educate you on processes. You should have a strong sense of self-motivation, and curiosity as well as a good grasp of how to convey "the art of the possible" with technology.

Your experience includes:

• 2+ years working in a professional environment.
• A proven track record in technical sales and knowledge of technology.
• Knowledge of Virtualization, Containerization, Network Administration, Architecture, and Management. Familiarity with the tools of the trade.
• Capable on Unix or Windows and familiar with administrative practices
• Experience in, or knowledge of IT operations, security & compliance, or DevOps.
• Familiarity with scripting and programming languages.
• Knowledge of technologies like Map-Reduce, Hadoop, HBase, Cloudera, Cassandra a plus.
• Experience with Amazon Web Services, AWS, Google Cloud Platform, GCP, or Microsoft Azure will help you excel.
