The Solutions Engineering Team:

JW Player is looking for a Spanish speaking Sales Engineer that knows the Media & Entertainment space inside out. The ideal candidate is a thought leader with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to guide clients through their most difficult technical challenges. Our SE's are trusted advisors who draft and present solution proposals to JW Player’s largest prospects, clients and partners.

As a Sales Engineer, you will:

  • Maintain a knowledge fluency of JW Player and Platform products
  • Work closely with other members of your account team to manage and grow an existing book of business while driving new product adoption and net new sales
  • Act as the customer’s main technical point of contact, helping close new business and retain happy clients
  • Confidently present and articulate the business value of our solutions to managers and executives at all levels
  • Understand the competitive landscape of video technology and JW Player's place within it
  • Run client-facing technical discovery sessions and carefully craft technical pre-sales presentations focused on the clients' needs
  • Support the RFI/RFP process by providing thorough responses to technical requirements
  • Work closely with senior management to improve our product feedback loop
  • Contribute to solutions engineering effectiveness by identifying short and long term issues that must be addressed as a team
  • Exceed new revenue and retention targets on a quarterly and annual basis

Requirements of the role:

  • 3-5 years experience as a Sales Engineer, Solutions Architect or related Advertising/Video product experience
  • Excellent presentation skills including experience presenting technical details to a wide-ranging audience
  • Phenomenal writing skills for responding to RFI/RFPs and business communication with customers
  • Demonstrated experience in problem identification and resolution with a hands-on approach to solving tactical problems
  • Experience interfacing with Product, Marketing and Support teams to maximize the value we deliver to clients
  • Solutions focused attitude and delighted to interacting with clients
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task without losing site of the details
  • Solid browser based debugging skills using the developer's console
  • Experience in video delivery on web, mobile and OTT platforms
  • Fluent in the Spanish language to service clients in the LATAM region

Bonus Points:

  • Technical sales or support experience in a SaaS organization, preferably in the video space
  • Intermediate knowledge of a scripting language (Python, PHP, NodeJS, GO)
  • Experience with value selling methodology
