ABOUT THE TEAM

The SE role brings industry experience, technical ability and an in-depth knowledge of the entire RealPage integrated product suite to our single and multifamily sales teams. The solution engineer assists the sales team in selling the value, features and benefits of an integrated product solution. The solution engineer works closely with account executives, product sales and marketing managers, and client success managers to assess prospective and existing client needs and solution offerings that provide the best return on investment. The solution engineer must be able to effectively articulate the value proposition and expand deals through providing solutions for our clients that meet their business needs. Successful interaction with other internal teams in order to communicate our client business demands and implementation challenges is a critical part of the job. The solution engineer also assists sales management with quarterly business reviews, ongoing sales rep training, trade show staffing, sales and other recurring meetings.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES

  • Support sales and account management teams through assisting with sales discovery calls, phone/web product sales demonstrations, in person product sales demonstrations, and general industry and technical knowledge
  • Understand client business needs and establish RealPage products and services as the best solutions that addresses those needs
  • Effectively demonstrate the value proposition of the RealPage product suite as provided by divisional product management and marketing
  • Build, maintain, and present customized, fully integrated product presentations in conjunction with sales reps and account executives
  • Educate internal and external personnel on RealPage products, solution selling, and implementation and training methodology
  • Participate in all appropriate product, sales, and procedural training and certification to acquire and maintain the knowledge necessary to be effective in the position
  • Attain quarterly and annual revenue and other objectives as assigned by management
  • Assist in responding effectively to request for proposals and proof of return on investment documentation in conjunction with the sales, product sales, and marketing teams
  • Provide a high level of product and multi-family business knowledge to assist in expanding a sales deal
  • Assist in maintaining the RealPage integrated sales demo and evaluation environment that is utilized by the SE team
  • Maintain working knowledge of competitive products and weaknesses as provided by divisional product and business development management
  • Coordinate product and sales training on a quarterly basis, with coordination of sales managers
  • Attend market related trade shows and association meetings to stay current with industry
  • Participate in RealWorld on an annual basis



PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES

  • Property management and/or software sales experience
  • College degree or equivalent work experience
  • Strong organization and time management skills
  • Strong skills in MS Word and MS Excel; strong general computer skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including corporate writing skills
  • Must be able to handle multiple tasks within desired periods
  • Must be able to create and enhance a system to adapt to the changing environment
  • Strong customer service skills; strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently, but know when to escalate
  • Adapting to the ever-changing scope of department, division and company
  • Interact successfully with other administrative staff
  • Take ownership of work and department
  • Ability to work well with individuals at all levels of the organization
  • Maintain a professional appearance and professional demeanor
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Ability to work overtime when necessary to meet deadlines
