Sales Director
Job Description
Role description: The Sales Director for Sales will lead and support the revenue generating and prospecting activities of the Sales Team by managing customer and prospect databases, monitoring sales activity, and delivering the necessary reports, data, and information that the Sales and Marketing Management Team can rely and act on.
Duties:
- Manage the overall activity and processes that support successful sales performance of the Sales and Lead Generation Team.
- Activities and metrics to manage and report on include, but are not limited to:
- Overall quota performance
- Opportunity and forecast pipeline maintenance and growth
- Activity metrics
- Prospecting calls
- Email campaigns
- Sales demonstrations
- Predemo qualifier calls
- NetSuite (CRM) account maintenance and process improvement
- Recommending lead generation incentive plans
- Activities and metrics to manage and report on include, but are not limited to:
- Work with product management and finance to recommend and analyze all pricing updates and additions to determine their impact on revenue, commissions, and sales activities.
- Create, review, and verify reports
- Manage sales-related NS processes
- Collaborate with finance on sales reporting
- Manage the annual renewal process and program
- Consult with vice president of sales and finance on renewal analysis, including rate increase
- Create and review renewal talking points
- Track, report, and consult with reps on renewal disputes
- Create, coordinate, and manage sales representative training, including:
- Product training
- Sales skills and techniques
- Demo techniques
- Appointment setting and phone skills
- Assist with the maintenance and creation of the sales support database information on our CSC Corptax Microsoft SharePoint Sales and Marketing site
- Participate and contribute in meetings and projects relating to sales processes and productivity
Qualifications:
- Five-plus years successful sales management experience
- Five-plus years successful direct professional sales experience
- Strong communication, collaboration, and project management skills
- Proven experience with sales CRM systems, report creation, and evaluation
- Excellent training, presentation, and facilitation skills
- Experience consulting with senior executives on strategic thinking and planning
- Proven success working productively with cross-functional teams to foster knowledge
- Creating, sharing, and developing programs and processes that support organizational goals
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Commitment to developing others and helping them become successful
- High degree of professionalism, flexibility, and integrity
- Demonstrate high standards of ethics and values, setting a positive example for others
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
