What you'll learn & achieve:
As Global Sales Director for Identity Management & Security (IMS), you will lead the sales team in partnering with clients around the world to sell cybersecurity, functional safety and payments solutions. You will additionally partner with other business units and Segments across UL Solutions to ensure we are providing the full breadth of solutions available to our clients. You will be responsible for developing and executing long term sales strategies to achieve key business objectives, including building and managing of external sales partner relationships. You will lead the sales teams across IMS, ensuring that teams are successfully attaining sales targets and effectively partnering with the business and other internal UL Solutions partners to provide a wide breadth of cybersecurity, functional safety and payments solutions to our clients. What you'll learn & achieve:
As Global Sales Director for Identity Management & Security (IMS), you will lead the sales team in partnering with clients around the world to sell cybersecurity, functional safety and payments solutions. You will additionally partner with other business units and Segments across UL Solutions to ensure we are providing the full breadth of solutions available to our clients. You will be responsible for developing and executing long term sales strategies to achieve key business objectives, including building and managing of external sales partner relationships. You will lead the sales teams across IMS, ensuring that teams are successfully attaining sales targets and effectively partnering with the business and other internal UL Solutions partners to provide a wide breadth of cybersecurity, functional safety and payments solutions to our clients. Further responsibilities:
- Leads all aspects of Global Sales for IMS
- Develops, communicates, and manages the successful performance of global and service line revenue goals and manages budgets
- Collaborates closely with Leadership to review sales process quality and proactively identifies opportunities for process improvements. Assists in understanding process bottlenecks and inconsistencies.
- Identifies potential new service offerings based on evolving technical standards and trends in line with evolving client demands and requirements, collaborating with Product Management and Business Development to create a comprehensive service portfolio.
- Develops and leads competitive "thought leadership" positions, collaborating with internal peers to drive consistent and coherent enterprise positions and with influential external stakeholders to ensure value and integrity in UL's deliverables.
- Understands and effectively leverages customer, industry, and internal sales information to drive performance and sustain a competitive edge.
- Monitors the accuracy and efficient distribution of sales reports and other intelligence essential to the sales organization. Recommends revisions to existing reports or assists in the development of new reporting tools as needed.
- Incorporates Board and Leadership feedback on strategy and actions
- Strong collaboration with Commercial Excellence team
- Attends and leads discussions during Leadership Team Meetings
- Attends industry events and network with customers and key stakeholders
- Engages in "deep dives" with big and complex customer
What makes you a great fit:
- 15 years of experience in sales with prior sales force management experience.
- 4 Year University Degree in Technical or Business specialization
- Advance Degree in Business (desired)
- Strong sales leadership foundation, including formal account planning, sales strategy development, sales tracking, and measurement.
- Demonstrated ability to interact with customers throughout all levels of their organization which include highly visible activities such as negotiating or presenting.
- Technical understanding of ISO 20022, EMVCo and payment scheme standards around specific certification programs for example CPV, Level 1 and Level 2 type approval and Level 3 End to End certification programs.
- Brings a strong external network with key players in the payment ecosystem, from card manufacturers (NXP, G&D), Terminal provider (Verifone, Ingenico), Merchants (Target, Walmart), Acquirers (FIS, Elavon), Networks and Issuers (BoA, Chase).
- Direct experience working for/with an issuing institution or global payment brand is preferred.
- Experience with complex customer interactions, products, and services
