A successful Sales Development Specialist will work closely with our External and Internal Sales Representatives to provide support in an effort to aid in the overall sales process. Each Sales Development Specialist will support multiple sales territories. This is an ideal entry-level position for anyone interested in starting a sales career with a world-class financial services company.

Profile Description:
  • Work collaboratively with the Senior Regional Director (External Sales Representative) and Regional Coordinator (Internal Sales Representative) to maximize territory sales efforts and attain sales goals
  • When requested, schedule meetings with Financial Advisors
  • When requested, send follow up emails to Financial Advisors (need to have appropriate FINRA registrations)
  • Take incoming calls from Financial Advisors
  • When requested, provide competitive analysis on Voya products for the Senior Regional Directors/Regional Coordinators
  • Respond to requests for information, competitive analysis and literature (need to have appropriate FINRA registrations)
  • Ensure all Client Relationship Management (CRM) information is up to date and accurate


Knowledge & Experience:
  • Must have at least a 4 year degree from an accredited college or university
  • Current FINRA license would be a plus, but not required. We would explore licensing opportunities, for the right candidate
  • Candidate should have strong working knowledge of popular sales software and Microsoft Office
  • Candidate should be professional, adaptable, collaborative, creative, self-motivated, organized, and responsible
  • Strong written/verbal communication skills and a strict attention to detail required
  • Candidate should demonstrate an upbeat, positive attitude and have an ability to excel in a team environment
