The Role:
Carrot is seeking a Sales Development Representative (SDR) to help open the doors to new opportunities. On a regular basis, you’ll be identifying companies to reach out to (prospecting), sending out emails and calling those prospects (outreach), and scheduling time for them to learn more (booking meetings). You’ll be regularly working cross-functionally with the Marketing team as well as the Account Executive team. Tight collaboration is not only essential but one of the driving forces for successful reps.
Previous experience as an SDR is not required, but you do need to have the drive to reach out to the right people and find time for them to learn more about how Carrot can radically increase the support they are offering to their company. The SDR role is your foot in the door to the wide, lucrative world of B2B sales. Passion for advancing in your career and consider learning/growing a vital part of your professional development. Top performers in this role are individuals who take extreme ownership over their process and remain diligent in their outreach and follow up. Winning attitude and perseverance are crucial for success as an SDR.
The Team:
The SDR team is full of diverse, energetic, passionate, and collaborative folks who are seeking to grow their careers quickly. Our outreach generates the majority of new business for the company. The better we perform, the faster the company grows! The team is currently at 18 SDRs and will be growing this year.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Fast learner
- Motivated by growth, money, and/or our mission
- Sales experience (in any industry or capacity)
- Superior verbal and written communication skills -- a must!
- Clear history of diligent process and clear follow-up abilities
- Experience persevering despite challenges
- Experience with sales tools (SalesLoft, Salesforce, etc.)
- Independent self-starter, who also works well on a team
- Passionate about providing inclusive coverage to marginalized populations
Preferred Qualifications:
- Understands how to book introductory meetings with prospective customers
- Can practice radical candor and other internal communication skills
- Want to move into an AE role in the next 18-24 months
Compensation
Carrot offers a holistic Total Rewards package designed to support our employees in all aspects of their life inside and outside of work, including health and wellness benefits, retirement savings plans, short- and long-term incentives, parental leave, family-forming assistance, and a competitive compensation package. The expected base salary for this position will range from $67,000- $76,000. Actual compensation may vary from posted base salary depending on your confirmed job-related skills and experience.
