Under supervision, the Lead Sales Development Representative is primarily responsible for growing the volume of new opportunities and expanding existing relationship across multiple disciplines. The role will focus on new opportunity acquisition and the Strategic and Key account portfolios. This Enterprise and Advisory role supports a multi-functional approach to include Supply Chain, Product Lifecycle, Assets and Sustainability Performance operating units. This role will support networking and relationship development in the following (not limited to) industry segments; Pharmaceutical, BioTech, MedTech, Manufacturing Facilities. Real Estate, Chemicals and Materials, Oil and Gas.

- Serve as the first point of contact to qualify initial customer inquiries. Assign, process reassign or accelerate marketing qualified leads to support best in class customer experience. Share in the ownership of the customer experience from lead to order.
- Assuring all regional lead queues are maintained to existing service level agreements. Additionally enrich the quality of opportunities created from sales accepted leads via multiple platforms.
- Assists sales roles in reengagement related to marketing effort, pulling forward and increase volume and velocity of enterprise leads.
- Promote and support a portfolio of solutions to existing accounts not managed by account management teams.
- Identify prospects and develop opportunities to promote cross functional capabilities to acquire new clients.
- Utilizes CRM to create, monitor and recommended lead generation plans to ensure a healthy sales pipeline in line with business objectives. Additionally, monitor ecommerce and subscriptions to advance break through opportunities and executive engagement.
- Independently identifies and pursues prospects through various lead generating activities, including leadership with industry associations, tradeshow attendance, market research and relationship development.
- Meet with prospects to identify and qualify their needs including understanding decision makers personas, delivery timeframe, budget status, competitive landscape industry and ad enterprise challenges.
- Supports the development of sales presentations and present to potential new clients with an emphasis horizon planning for pipeline capability. Follow a disciplined consultative selling strategy that fully leverages the portfolio of UL solutions and resources.
- Provides value propositions to key stakeholders, handle complex objections, prepare, and review quotes with ability earning the prospects' commitment.
- Meets or exceeds assigned sales target on a monthly/quarterly basis.
- Read and follow the Underwriters Laboratories Code of Conduct and follow all physical and digital security practices.
- Performs other duties as directed
What makes you a great fit:
Higher Secondary Education and two years of directly related experience.
Demonstrated ability to use various PC-based software packages for basic wordprocessing, graphics, and spreadsheets.
Strong communication skills are required.

Total Rewards: All employees at UL are eligible for bonus compensation. UL offers a generous 401k matching structure of up to 5% of eligible pay. Additionally, we invest an additional 4% into your retirement saving fund after your first year of continuous employment. Depending on your role, you can work with your manager on flexible working arrangements. We also provide employees with paid time off including vacation, holiday, sick and volunteer time off.
The base salary range for this position is $45,000-$55,000 and is based upon years of experience that is commensurate with the level of the position.
Members of the sales function are eligible to participate in the UL Solutions Sales Incentive Plan. The annual target incentive for this position is 20% of the base salary, paid quarterly, and is contingent upon performance. Employees are eligible for health benefits such as medical, dental and vision; wellness benefits such as mental & financial health; and retirement savings (401K) commensurate with the standard rewards offered in each individual location or country, for the relevant position level.
We also provide employees with paid time off including vacation (15 days), holiday including floating holidays (12 days) and sick time off (72 hours).
