Our Opening and Your Responsibilities

Mettler Toledo needs to add to our Sales Development team in Columbus, Ohio. As a Sales Development Representative, you will proactively support Field Sales Representatives by increasing their sales efficiency. Your responsibilities would include:

• Supporting our Field Sales Representatives by proactively calling and qualifying prospects, setting up appointments or conducting necessary research.
• Managing inbound requests through calls or emails from accounts related to leads and opportunities or quotes for new business.
• Registering leads, qualifying and distributing them.
• Nurturing high-value leads and high potential but dormant customers, either by phone or email.
• Managing selected opportunities, creating quotes or performing follow-up activities as needed.
• Covering the full product portfolio across Mettler Toledo.

What You Need to Succeed

• A bachelor's degree would be a plus
• Sales, customer service and/marketing experience for at least 2 to 3 years
• A daring spirit and a preference for work in a fast-paced sales environment
• A confirmed ability and technical acumen to learn our products and sell our service contracts
• The ability to communicate product knowledge, differentiate from the competition, and solve customer problems
• Excellent people skills to create rapport with prospects quickly

As a Plus, Do You Also Have?

• Inbound or outbound call center experience or worked in an inside sales role before
• Experience using SAP's CRM system
