Position Summary

The Commercial Analyst will partner with stakeholders (Sales, Marketing, Operations and other supporting teams) to analyze sales and market trends to drive profitable sales growth. This role is responsible for building repeatable performance and sales reporting tools to enable better business decisions. The right candidate can gather and analyze sales data, make recommendations to solve business problems, and build out repeatable reporting for ongoing business insight. We are open to considering someone that is strong in Excel, Tableau and relational databases that is a year or two out of school for this role.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Compile and analyze data over time to forecast sales trends and identify opportunities
  • Build repeatable reporting packages in Tableau to measure performance and provide customer insight
  • Evaluate pricing opportunities and partner with sales management
  • Analyze past sales data to determine trends in market, sales productivity, and customer opportunities
  • Present actionable information and recommendations to team members and management
  • Partner with key business partners to evaluate trends, gain insight and develop action plans
  • Identify and implement process improvements to increase data accuracy and optimize insights


Knowledge/Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, economics, or statistics
  • Experience working with large volumes of raw data across disparate systems, understanding trends, analyzing root causes, and presenting solutions
  • Demonstrate advanced analytical, problem solving and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to quickly learn a varied set of software and relational data structures
  • Superior oral and written communication skills, navigating all levels of the organization
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point)
  • Ability to work well independently and in a team environment


Expereince and Educational Background

  • At least 3 years of experience preforming adhoc analytics with large data volumes
  • At least 3 years of experience developing repeatable Tableau Dashboards
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
  • Sales or marketing background preferred
