About the job
Manage a subset of high-end mid market accounts within an assigned territory. The Red Hat Sales team is looking for a Sales Account Manager to join us in Raleigh, NC. In this role, you will identify, nurture, and close opportunities with both new and existing customers, manage forecasts on a quarterly basis, and track customer data. You'll often collaborate with internal and external partners to improve business and create solutions that serve both Red Hat and our customers. As a Sales Account Manager, you will have access to training and certification programs that will help you maintain expert knowledge of and proficiency in our offerings and industry trends.
What you will do

  • Sell Red Hat's comprehensive enterprise solutions
  • Manage forecasts, close deals, and track customer data using company-standard customer relationship management (CRM) tools
  • Grow existing business relationships and acquire new business
  • Meet assigned sales quotas both on your own and as part of a team


What you will bring

  • 4+ years of successful quota-carrying sales experience
  • 4+ years of solutions sales experience in software or high-tech offerings; datacenter and cloud technologies are a big plus
  • 2+ years of experience selling face to face to customers
  • Experience using customer relationship management (CRM) tools like Salesforce.com (SFDC)
  • Knowledge of Unix, Linux, Microsoft Windows, virtualization, storage, and middleware solutions
