The Role

As a Commercial Account Manager, you will be responsible for planning and executing the renewals lifecycle while driving high customer satisfaction by managing retention and usage goals.

Cool Stuff You'll Do

  • Proactively manage a book of business including client renewals, identifying growth opportunities, and risks to retention.
  • Use your exceptional powers of persuasion and negotiation to maintain high renewal rates while encouraging our customers (at the CXO level) to retain access to our amazing products.
  • Manage a timely renewal process with customers, including generating renewal quotes,  maintaining accurate Salesforce renewal opportunities, understanding customer dependencies, uncover blocking issues, and demonstrate strong account management and commercial capabilities; work closely with Account Management, Finance, and Deal Desk teams to ensure all contracts are accurate.
  • Verify contracts, data integrity of all quotes, and review terms & conditions to ensure renewal subscriptions in line with company guidelines and policy.
  • Maintain and report an accurate forecast of renewals and pipeline on a rolling 120-day basis, and communicate any renewal risk to leadership to develop resolution strategies.
  • Conduct thorough discovery with all customers within your book of business to ensure you understand their individual pain-points, future initiatives, and where they derive most value in our partnership.
  • Identify upsell/cross-sell opportunities through mid-year partnership reviews and contract renewal to maximize customer growth.
  • Uncover trends, propose improvements and build processes that improve the renewal workflow.
  • Be motivated to overachieve on daily, weekly & monthly targets.
  • Be the face of our Brand and 100% focused to create a best-in-class customer experience.

 What You Bring To The Table

  • 1-3+ years of proven experience in Sales, Operations, or Account Management with a focus on negotiating contracts.
  • Solid business knowledge - curious and keen to learn
  • You have proven experience working at a technology company, preferably B2B SaaS
  • You have experience owning and managing renewal metrics (like NNA, NDR, logo retention)
  • A "can-do" & "winner" attitude, with hunger and a 'self-starter' drive to overachieve and succeed
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with internal/external clients
  • You have a proven track record of strong customer management and negotiation skills.
  • Strong numeracy skills
  • Value-based selling
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree or equivalent work experience

Bonus Points For

  • Practical knowledge of Drupal and WordPress
  • Familiar with open source solutions and web infrastructure
  • Strong knowledge of SaaS, IaaS and/or PaaS solutions in the market
  • Past experience selling to Higher Education, media, large non-profits, or complex large scale institutions
  • Demonstrated experience selling to a technical audience, ideally technical decision-makers
  • Experience carrying a quota of over 1M annually
