Regional Account Manager
JOB SUMMARY
The main purpose of this position is to find, attract, close and grow profitable business within assigned markets by creating solutions for new and current customers using all the Werner Enterprises' services and modes.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

- Identify and create new sales opportunities by prospecting and cold calling within assigned region.
- Manage and grow current customers by introducing additional Werner service offerings.
- Work with engineering and operations teams to create proposals for prospects and customers
- Complete all aspects of the customer interface including the negotiation of pricing and transportation agreements and accounts receivable management
- Facilitate operational on boarding of new business to ensure complete understanding of customer expectations
- Team sell with Werner Sales Product specialists when warranted
- Keep up to date with skills and knowledge of all Werner services capabilities

- Self-starter, competitive and motivated to achieve and exceed goals
- Strong phone presence and effective interpersonal communication skills
- Proven sales ability
- Proficient in working with multiple applications to include MS office suite and collaborative software such as Webex
- Excellent negotiating and customer service skills
- Strong organizational skills.
- Knowledge of North American geography and specific market knowledge of assigned territory.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- A minimum of a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Business Administration
- with an emphasis in Marketing, Management, or Transportation/Logistics, or equivalent experience
- preferred or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Two to four years of telephonic sales experience, preferably within transportation industry
