The Property Acquisition Assistant is a key contributor to the growing Acquisitions team, who works together to close purchases of single-family homes across the country. Since 2012, we have purchased approximately 24,000 homes in 30 markets across 21 states. The Property Acquisition Assistant will coordinate with team members in New York and Austin to identify high priority acquisition targets and work with selling agents to secure each deal. A day in the life of a Property Acquisition Assistant:
Close coordination with the Underwriting Analysts to deliver optimal bids for acquisition targets
Lead outgoing communications to real estate agents and other third parties to relay bids and receive additional information regarding the property and potential transaction; serve as the first point of contact prior to bid acceptance or termination
Manage and update active files with strong attention to detail
Comply with timelines, acting with urgency on priority acquisitions, and following-up with contacts to inquire if additional information may be needed to best position us as a buyer
Perform additional duties as requested

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. This is largely a sedentary role; however, some filing is required. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand on a stool as necessary.
No travel is expected for this position.
This is a full-time position. Typical workdays are Monday through Friday, however, occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
