OUR TEAM

The Kinship Product Team is driving innovation in the pet space, creating and leading some of the best destinations, tools, and services for millennial pet parents. We’re consumed by the goal of helping pets, their people, and our partners seeking to help both of these groups. We’re a passionate team utilizing our experience throughout the pet industry and within some of the world’s foremost tech companies to help everyone pet parent like a pro.

ABOUT VETINSIGHT

We all know that being a pet parent is amazing, but that experience often comes with many questions. It’s hard to know where to find the most useful information and even harder to know what can be trusted. VetInsight was created to give pet parents the digital tools and on-demand professional guidance they need to make smarter decisions about their pets’ health, nutrition, and overall wellbeing. This role will help VetInsight continue to bring much needed help to people and their pets, but there is not a need to have expertise in the veterinary field. While your love of pets and technology is desired, the team of veterinarians is here to handle pet health and wellness. Here’s where you’ll bring value to VetInsight:

  • The Day-to-Day - There really isn’t a typical day. And if you like that, keep reading. From helping advance the VetInsight product to working with our partners in the US and abroad to collaborating with colleagues from all across the global Mars Petcare team, you’ll make an impact in a wide variety of areas. This role will primarily focus on the product, but will routinely provide the opportunity to touch multiple aspects of the business
  • Project Management - VetInsight is always evolving and you’ll be a key part of driving that by helping identify, prioritize, and lead the projects that will receive focus and resources each cycle
  • Product Evolution - From your vantage point as project manager, you’ll help us grow and improve the product based on the needs of the business, our partners, and most importantly, pet parents and their pets
  • Keep A Watchful Eye - Part of this role is helping make sure VetInsight performs at its best by consistently using/monitoring the product to help us find any issues that may arise––and help guide the dev team to find the best solutions
  • Optimization - You’ll help us optimize where necessary to ensure we’re always hitting our goals, both internally and for our partners
  • Analysis and Data - You’ll leverage your experience using metrics to accomplish all of the above, from product improvements to KPIs to new features

TECHNICAL SKILLS:

  • You have 3-5 years of experience in project/product management, preferably at a tech company
  • You want to work on products and projects that are both fun and actually help improve our world
  • You’ve brought new products, features, and/or improvements from a concept to a shipped deliverable
  • You are a do-er and enjoy being able to work on multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
  • You take direction well and feel comfortable seeing it through once you’ve gotten that direction
  • You have a history of balancing both the needs of the business and the needs of the end user
  • You have a strong attention to to detail (and used your attention to detail to find the typo in this bullet)
  • You are comfortable digging into and thinking through data
  • You have experience––either direct or adjacent––with user testing to guide product decisions
  • You’re organized, and keep your cool during those times when the stress increases
  • You are comfortable managing multiple timelines
  • You’re collaborative and get excited by the thought of working with an amazing group of people across the company and around the world
  • You aren’t a developer but you’ve been around enough tech projects that you feel comfortable talking and thinking tech
  • We find the fun in our work…and just reading that put a little smile on your face
  • You have an excellent command of the English language and are a strong communicator
  • You have a bachelor degree or equivalent in a relevant area
