About the job
The Red Hat West Sales team is looking for a Program Manager to help create and manage ongoing projects and programs within the region. In this role, you will serve on the regional leadership team and report directly to the Vice President of Sales, as well as support initiatives across the North America (NA) Commercial ecosystem as alignment may call for. You'll need to be highly motivated, resourceful, creative, and possess a solid analytic mind. As a Program Manager, you will take direction on program requirements, but also be expected to contribute new ideas and improvements as well as provide the leadership and persuasion to ensure implementation of our plans across the region. Successful applicants must reside in a state where Red Hat is registered to do business.
What you will do

  • Build and manage programs in the region as needed to guide sustained performance excellence; these programs may include sales training, prospecting efforts, and others as necessary
  • Manage synergy initiatives inside the region and handle reporting back out to the regional or global synergy office as needed
  • Assist in business management and financial aspects of running the day-to-day business, including forecast management, fiscal year planning, etc.
  • Assist in the management of our associates, including performance ratings, reporting, promotions, pay increases, etc.
  • Promote a culture of delivery and accountability to ensure that our programs have a high degree of impact on sales engagements and outcomes
  • Attend regional leadership meetings and present on programs and progress
  • Assist in planning regional meetings, quarterly business reviews (QBRs), etc.
  • Travel as needed to support key events, e.g., QBRs, Summit, sales kickoff (SKO), etc.
  • Work with various teams to coordinate metrics and reporting, including the Sales Operations, Business Finance, Synergy, Marketing, Products and Technologies (PnT), and Sales team members globally


What you will bring

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree
  • 7+ years of experience working in business, sales, sales management, or sales operations
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively and build relationships with cross-functional teams
  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously under pressure and under tight timelines
  • Organized and detail-oriented
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Passionate about Red Hat's mission and open source technology along with an understanding of the Red Hat's role within IBM's greater cloud and cognitive strategy
