We are seeking a Leader to join our Eastern US team and focusing on work with Emerging Pharma / Emerging Biotech clients. ZS works more than a hundred pre-commercial and early commercial Emerging Pharma and Biotech clients each years across a broad range of issues and topics. We are leaders in the industry in helping these companies with opportunity assessment and valuation and preparing for launch. Our Value & Access practice is one of the leaders in the industry across life sciences. We understand the entire value continuum from clinical to commercial to corporate strategy, and we apply a multidisciplinary approach to help ensure our clients' long-term business success. The Principal will leverage their experience to take responsibility for projects and lead client relationships immediately. The Principal will play a key role selling, delivery and team building in the growing Emerging Pharma Practice, working closely with our Value and Access practice in North America (with particular focus on clients based in the Eastern US) and will act as a content expert in one or more aspects of Market Access & Pricing.
Key Responsibilities would include:
- Develop the ZS client base of our V&A offerings within small & emerging pharmaceutical clients
- Managing projects and client relationships
- Driving business and strategy development
- Directing multiple projects simultaneously, honing analytic and project management skills
- Motivating, coaching and serving as a role model for project team members
- Providing thought leadership and innovation within projects and specifically within the Market Access & Pricing expertise area (particularly as it pertains to emerging pharma and biotech clients)
- Playing a key role in development of capabilities and offerings in the practice tailored to emerging pharma and biotech clients
Education:
- BS required
- MBA or PhD or other relevant advanced degree preferred (or ample relevant work experience)
Required Skills:
- 10+ years of experience working with biotech and pharmaceutical clients (relevant prior experience with pre-commercial & early commercial pharma clients strongly preferred)
- 5+ years in a consulting/professional services firm
- Prior experience working pricing studies, HEOR, and rebate/contracting studies and strategy development preferred
- Demonstrated experience with driving revenue within emerging & small pharma clients and in developing new prospects at the "C" and function head level of Pharmaceutical organizations.
- Characteristics of a forward thinker and self-starter that thrives on new challenges and adapts quickly to learning new knowledge
- Ability to lead a team (sometimes virtually) of consulting professionals across multiple projects
- A high level of motivation and self-starting attitude
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- A strong work ethic
- A willingness to travel to meet client needs
- Executive-level presence and communication
ZS is a global consulting firm. Fluency in English is required; additional fluency in at least one European or Asian language is desirable.
